2010 Garden Photos - Part 5
nice shots Abby!!!
DITTO
Jen, is that the little piece of ' oak leaf' hydrangea I gave you last year? If so, it's looking like it survived pretty well.
mine is still going nice Jan... thank you!!!
Beautiful jen! That "tulip out of nowhere" is a stunner!!!
yes, Jan, thanks!!! Guess it loves the spot I put it.
Nice photos!
Very nice, ladies!
cool JoAnn!!!
Hey Allison
Are we the only ones up?
guess so
No, im up....just not awake yet. :)
I woke up at 4 again. Its a long morning when that happens.
hey Celeste... yeah it's a long few hours to entertain yourself while the rest of the world is sleeping... sorry to hear it JoAnn
Yes, it is! I've done that more times than I care to count this past year. This morning there is frost.....Uck!
yuk is right.... even though ours usually isn't gone until next month... I don't want to see it anymore!!!
Me either, im liking this month early weather. After all, I think we are entitled to an extra month to grow things this year....we were gyped out of a good 6 weeks last year with all that cold and rain we had.
yeah!!.. I am still going back and fourth if I am putting stuff out in the greenhouse and setting up a heater at night... or not... afraid to kill everything
I think you would be OK...i'd just watch the night time temps.
Like last night I knew we were dropping below 36 so I put everything in the shed for the night. I'll take them back out later on when it warms up. it's a pain but it's better than losing everything.
speaking of sheds.... Randy stuck a bunch of the containers that would break in the shed... still filled with what was in them... go out there over the weekend to see what needs a cleaning.... I swear a geranium is putting out shoots... not totally sure it is or not.. but I think so.. the poor thing looked like an albino ... but growing ... I put it out in the shade next to the shed.. and whatever was in the others.. have volunteer seedlings in them... might be weeds... might not be... soon see... just amazed me something in total darkness and not heated was alive
This past week its been cooler night and day. I haunt the garden looking for lilies I planted last fall. One has started but the rest of the 80 are still shy in the cold.
We need smoe 50's nights and 79's days. and a warm rain.
is it safe to plant out dahlia tubers yet?
never mind I got the dahlia answer... no... ground should be 70
thank you JoAnn... Celeste I tried that with some of my geraniums 2 years ago... they grew all goofy even though I pinched them back when they woke up.. all leggy and ugly ... not sure what I did wrong
I'm not sure what she does.........maybe she gives them a brutal haircut. LOL
