One of my daughters got me this cute little "bloom Pillow" it is a flower frog if you know what that is .. I collect them, she knows me so well, this is a lilac bloom I had unassembled to make it all fit, it smelled so good, found the bloom knocked off by a squirrell no doubt.

Debra - WOW! I love all the different plants you are growing and the blooms are outstanding! WOWEE! I love the white yarrow too, does it also go by the name Queen Anne's Lace? Or some name like that ...? If so, it may be a host plant for black swallowtail butterflies. :-)

I wished the temps were cooler here to grow columbine. I always drool when I see photos of the blooms! So pretty! And your native ginger is really cool looking! You've got so many neat and unusual plants growing! Your yard is so green, too! Looks like mother nature is very happy in your yard!

Are your garden creatures out and about, too? Squirrel family and birds?

Gautier, MS

Debra you sure have a great collection of plants, wow I agree with Becky!!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

We enjoy the tour of your yard every yr Debra. Don't know how
you plant and care for so many It's all I can do to grow
a few Morning Glories.lol

Cumberland Mtns, TN(Zone 6b)

I can't remember the NAMES of my plants, like Debra can!

I walk around saying, here's the columbine from Aunt Gertrude...Mary gave me these black eyed susans, this lil vine is from Dad.....it has pink blooms, etc., etc.,

I can't wait till everything is settled in and blooming.

it's cold here again. expected to be 33 tomorrow night....just as my green beans were peeking thru the garden.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Your green beans will be okay they can handle one night of chill in fact, it will make them grow harder..we have a low forecast of 37 and all my tropicals are out, but I figure they need a "wake up" call anyway. Just throw an old sheet over the bean patch if you are reall y worried. that is what I did to all my tropicals and seedlings a few weeks ago, but nothing was hurt anyway.. went to my sons place yester day and planted obedient plants, hooney suckles, monardas and spread a few hundred seeds around, planted some i. nnils and some rebeccas this year over there, and also a rose of sharon purple double ruffle I grew from his aunt and uncles old house where I kiped some of the seed pods before they moved. Mine on the south east garden i started from seed last year is already two feet tall.. the little clumps of bamboo i got from my daughters grandma ( ex) really moved some runners and they are now almost 4x6 each from two small clumps last spring of about 8 inches round.
