We came from here... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1078991/#new
Vines vines Vines and More vines. In the windows upstairs, in shoebags, in pots, in tubs, in cups.. can't grow a thing without a morning glory popping up. This is a setosa from last year on the North fence. Today I cleaned out the rest of the flower beds, transplanted alot of seedlings from inside to outside. Carried up several heavy tubs of plants from the basement Gardens.. .

Debra...I love the idea of an Atrium. Did you ever see the movie with Andy McDowel and that french guy, who needs to get married to stay in America for his green card. her apartment had an atrium in it. You have sooooo many flowers to take care.

i'm cleaning out flower beds to get ready for my WS jugs. I am SO surprised given that I didnt get mine out till March 16th. have all kinds of stuff coming up... poppies, mexican hat, cosmos, russian sage. and veggies....i spring sowed veggies and saw cucs up already. i'm trying to clean out one bed every other night..less pressure. lol.

I hear ya, I have been cleaning and transplanting and moving outdoor stuff that is hardy enough in case it gets cold .. which after today ( 87) I don't see a surprise freeze coming. I have gads of things up all over the place. I am going to fix up the area I like the best, clean it, paint it and put my table in themiddle of it with two chairs. In the heat of summer I can go down there and gaze at my tropicals.. they are budding ,blooming , growing new shoots and leaves. and I love it. The kids next door moved their rose of sharon to the corner of the fence back by my trumpet vine and vine corner. Ut oh! LOL This vine is in the shoe bag planter.. it is ready to go out if the wind ever dies down..

This mess of seedlings will stay together and go out to the front where I have a trellis and huge pot to sink the pop bottle planter into. then I will gently put more soil around them and off they will fly..They have sprouted and grown in the pink bedroom window.

This seedling will go out to the corner barrell where I have a cane pole with plastic mesh ribbon wound around it for it to climb already..

Debra - OMG! Your temps were 87 today???? If so ... you beat my warm temps! Good gosh! Is that normal temps for April for Kansas?

Your plants look ready to see the big wide world or at least a small section of it in your backyard! LOL! They survived quite well in the basement greenroom. Would most have come back if you had left them outside for the winter? Or are these plants more tropical?

Phyl - What are your temps currently? Sounds like you are off to a good start with your veggies! You have all the right conditions there for veggie gardening. I am soooo jealous!

Becky it is supposed to be in the 60s right now, not the 80s' we just had snow three weeks ago.. this is crazy. The vines I have I started in december and they have been growing fine.. I moved two planters of vines out already.. I have to be careful where I plant vines now that the kids next door to the north are getting ready to raze their yard and kill the grass that is there now. So.. nothing that can get to their side of the fence until after the are done with their "landscaping" LOL None of the vines I have would have come back in the spring.. unless from seeds that fell.. I was testing the germination of all my seeds since I was in the swap, and cuz I am givng them away .. I planted 6 of your seeds, three of jackies, three of moretz and cibarious, I planted the same species, but seeds from three different sources to see how they differ in bloom. Sunrise Serenade in the hanging basket outside has 4 different seeds from 4 different sources in it. here is three alba moonvines, one yellow obscura, and who knows what else I brought up from the seed starting room.. I will put them out wenesday after work.

I think it was supposed to be 87 today. They were saying on the news that we are about a month early with the warm weather. which...maybe I am being the pessimist, it always turns cold again after we've gotten our capri pants and sandals out. Always.
and frosts up in May.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

last cold low of the year predicted for tommorrow night... 37.. I am betting it won't get there..I will hold off on the tropicals, but everything that is out there, including the new vines, is staying.
This picture is how I feel about my plants LOL
