Looks very nice....when I was a kid, my Dad would take us to NYC to Little Italy....I remember eating in a grotto type restaurant, great food. Then he always stopped at a bakery to take many goodies home.

Cannolis are too sweet for me.

I am not big on the cream in them.... what is it like an almond flavor??

The cream is made with ricotta cheese, though it does not taste cheesy. I think almond.

I can eat ricotta out of the tub.. sure it's not mascarpone?

Not almonds - pistachio.

funny I love almonds... but hate almond cookies or any fake almond flavor .. same with peaches... love the fruit.. hate anything flavored with fake peach .... snapple peach tastes like drinking a bottle of chemicals to me

I don't think I've ever had a cannoli before either but it looks delicious. Now I wished I had at least looked at the dessert tray after dinner on Saturday, which I usually at least look, but I was too full, and didn't want to make the waitress make another trip.

I like the chocolate ones too. In the good pastry shops, you just see the shells on the counter. They fill them right in front of you.

my mom makes this pistachio cake for christmas every year.. my family goes nuts for it.. I can't stand it... but put a bag of nuts in front of me.. I will eat them until I am sick

At the restaurant I had pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe. Was very good.

My mom used to make a pistachio cake, forgot about it, now I want it.

Love pistaciao nuts (I like almost amy nut), like Allison...love the fruit peach but nothing flavored peach.

Had ham steaks, garlic mashed potatoes, coleslaw and fiddleheads last night.

That would be the last dinner I would cook for him....hope wife feels the same! I need to bring something to a pot luck at church tomorrow night....it's going to be hot...no AC in church....have no ideas right now.

Sounds like a plan.

I pan fried some corn tortillas and layered them with refried beans, spicy chicken, cheese, salsa, and topped them off with sour cream and guacamole, they were really good. Fresh sweet corn on the side.

Ground turkey with garlic, onion, peppers and tomato sauce. Steak fries and salad.
