I love cold baked bean sandwiches too, with dill pickles on it.
What's for dinner? Part 6
Never heard of those before.
Pozza tonight . I had barn chores and DH had to get a new battery for my truck after he got home from work.
Why is it that beer on tap tastes so much better than in bottles (at least to me)?? The free cocktail reception each night at the hotel featured Michelob Amber Bock, which I like. It tasted way better than the bottles. I really enjoyed it. Similarly, I had Yuengling on tap in a restaurant.
I think it ferments more in the tap... anyway Yuengling was my fav until I switched to Guinness Draught.
- BBQ Pork Chops today W/ rice & red beans in a tomato sauce, mescaline salad on the side.
Store-bought chicken.
chicken rice and beans... from an awesome Portuguese bbq place.. in South Plainfield (had it for lunch too)
Never had a baked bean sandwich! Pizza tonight because I was too hot & tired to get a meal for son & his family.....DH could only eat rice as he has a problem!
nothing like the B.R.A.T diet
:)
Never had beans either. How do they not fall out?!!
They do.^_^
We always watched As Time Goes By, a great Britcom, and we always laughed at their love of 'beans on toast'.
I like that show also.
LOL, the beans do fall out a little. I found that I just have to hold it the whole time so there is less spillage.
Grandma Browns baked beans don't fall out and make great sandwiches.
Swedish meatballs, noodles, green bean salad....it may be dinner for one, unless DH improves!
DW used to watch that show, I watched parts every now and then, hard to watch w/o subtitles!☺
- BBQ chicken tonight w/ broccoli fettuccine.
- Hope hubby feels better today Robindog!
OH, Grandma Brown's beans. My DH grew up on them when he lived outside of Syracuse, so every time we would camp in the Adiondacks, we would load up, cuz we couldn't get them here.
I grew up just east of Syracuse.
We went out for an Easter buffet, so tonight I'm making ham w/pineapple, sweet potatoes , mashed potatoes, corn, peas and deviled eggs.
MMMMMM..... Feeling like Pavlov's dog.
DH is from Manlius.
Mmmm...does sound delish! And no, DH is not doing better...his dinner was boiled chicken, & boiled potato with chicken broth, & lime jello...ugh....if there's no improvement by tomorrow, I'm taking him back to drs.
sorry Robin
BLTs Homefries and fried eggs : )
Hope he feels better, Robin.
Hope dh feels better soon Robin! We had that stomach type of thing go through the house not too long ago. It is awful! Took over a week, probably close to two before we all had our appetites back.
Thanks all...yes, Meredith, that sounds like what he has, plus conjunctivitus in both eyes, it's just a nasty virus! His stomach is better this morning, so perhaps we've turned the corner! I'm still feeding him the chicken to be safe.....leftover spinach, feta, & garlic pizza for me.
Hoping that is the case RD. {HUGS}
Robin I hope he gets better soon! My youngest dd had it first and after a few days was my older dd, unfortunately we had gone out that evening and she got sick all over herself and the car as soon as we pulled in the toys r us parking lot to get her something. So I cleaned her up best I could with what I had and she waited in the car with dh. She was bummed out. Then myself and dh were sick that same night! The youngest one had it the worst it seemed, she was sick longest. Just make sure you stick to the brat diet for him even if he starts feeling better because it seemed like we all felt better one day and were sick again the next. If his stomach is up for it you can add chicken broth to the diet. Once I started feeling a little better I was able to eat homemade chicken soup. The veggies are okay if they are cooked but not raw. Well that is based on which end it is coming out, sorry to be so graphic, but not sure how else to explain that! ;)
I meant to say how cute Sophie is too! We just got a couple baby bunnies, I'll have to get some pictures of them to post later. : )

Was looking up a Giada recipe on Google and saw that there is actually a website called giadascleavage.com!! Of course I clicked on it. The site, that is, not the cleavage. Reading the top of the page was hilarious.
LOL
Made a Mangrian cake w/Pineapple topping, pot of chilli for lunch, and Salmon for super.
Never heard of that cake.

Welcome back, Jen! Glad you had a good time. We liked Whispering Canyon too. Liberty Tree is very good. We love The Land in Epcot. Were not thrilled with Mexico, though that was years ago. Canada is really good. Great mousse!
