J-2 & I have been worrying about the same thing.

I should be getting my iPhone this week. So many apps to choose from! Quite a few gardening ones.

Anyone use the Google toolbar with Firefox?? Can't seem to solve the problem of disappearing buttons from the toolbar - autofill, spellcheck, etc. Been googling the problem but can't find an answer that works for me. Very aggravating.

I re-downloaded the toolbar multiple times but no help.

Problem: Your Firefox bookmark toolbar is empty.

Solution:

Right-click on any Firefox toolbar.
Select Customize from the sort cut menu.
Click the Restore Default Set button.
Click the Done button. This will fix the problem in many cases.

Thanks. I unistalled and re-installed again, and got autofill back. Working on the spellcheck now. Ridiculous!

What do we do with old, unwanted electronics?

From cell phones to VCRs, there are trace amounts of gold and other precious metals to be harvested, but finding a location to drop off is challenging.

We can drop some (mainly computer stuff) at our hazardous waste facility.

Electronics are collected here periodically. But announcement of times are not easy to find.

I installed Firefox and Google toolbar on both of our new machines and haven't encountered a problem, except when I didn't uncheck a passive assent "Install Google Toolbar" on a search or something. I can't remember what it was tacked on, but it did change my selections. I have watched for it since and make sure I do not accept. Ric

Our County Cooperative Extension has an electronics and hazardous waste collection usually in the spring.

Really? Didn't think they were involved in that. They may be cut out of the NYS budget.

Oh, probably. Good thing I tossed lots to them last year.

Some places will take trade-ins on comps etc etc. What about a used electronics place?
