Perfectly beautiful day today. In the low 70's and I wish it stays this way forever!!! A little bit of rain now and then to nourish the ground, but beautiful temp like this makes your outdoorsy work enjoyable.. less bugs!!

As usual, we'll be gone today. This time it's all for Kel. He needs to unwind at his favorite bookstore and then at Michael's.
If it so happen that he parks in front of a quilting store.. I won't complain!!

Just wanted to pop in and say HI! real fast, Dave just got up from a 3 hour nap and now he's prepping shrimp, I'm going to go spy. Had a what was supposed to be a busy day cleaning house, got half the light fixtures clean and he went to sleep and just woke up, so there went that, now I'm not even in the mood. Oh well.

sweet dreams, sweet sistahs. I'm already heading for bed. Got so dirty weeding, I've had a nice long hot shower and all my night meds. Got one eye already closed.

It was a nice day. Ruth's soccer team won. Yesterday Ruth had her 18th birthday party with her friends, they went to Mimi's and got to sit by themselves like adults, and they didn't even break the bank! Her big sister made her a chocolate tower of chocolate cake waffles, chocolate cupcakes with chocolate orange frosting, and fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate. Gotta stay away from it starting tomorrow on my renewed diet! LOL And tomorrow Dancing with Stars starts. oh me.

Good day in the garden. Got a lot weeded, got some fertilizer out. Have some holes where a few irises died. Got plenty still potted up to fill them with as I find them. my co-op roses have arrived - not a clue what to do with them.

Tomorrow I go find some Freehand in Garner, pricey but supposed to be a great pre-emergent. and ask about Ronstar, too. will post photos of iris patch soon.

Morning GLORY! Can't decide if it's going to rain out there today or not.

Until it decides, I'd best get busy. Two years of not weeding to be undone out there. Going down to Garner today to pick up a bag of Freehand. Supposed to be a pre-emergant that works overtop irises. So not so much weeding in the future. then to the bank to straighten out my checking account. Then to exercise class.


Yes Jaye! I'm feeling a lot pluckier! This iodine treatment is really working for me. Not only that, and I'm going to get a bit personal here,

I'm "going" better! For two years now, I've had trouble emptying my bladder all the way. Been "getting the old woman" symdrome, a bit of leakage, can't empty the bladder all the way, the urine smells different.

Now, with this supplement of iodine and potassium, all of a sudden, that's reversing. I'm going like I did before I hit 50! ^_^

Morning Bon, glad to hear the treatments are helping you! Now don't over do it! Sounds like several are having problems with thier banks! geesh, so many bad people out there, think they can use our numbers for thier spending pleasure!
I use pay pal, for all my online purchases, because they create a one time use credit card number, and not even I can go back, and use it again! Once that transaction is done, that credit card number can not be used again.

Marion, how was your week-end?

I rushed outside yesterday to try to get as much done as possible before the rain hit...then it didn't come at all so I got tons done. The only garden area left to clean is the little bed by the front fence that has those two Zephrine Drouin roses in it and the hollyhocks. That won't take any time at all! The majority of the day was spent trying to get the foot deep leaves out of the shade garden, but I'm thankful to say that it is finished. The hellebores are blooming beautifully.

Shall we plan on a shower for Stacey on Saturday the 26th of June? Won't it be fun to shower her happy little one with goodies?

LK, I like using PP and have an account set up too. But, I can reuse my stored card as long as I don't forget the password. Only the vendors or sites I purchase from can't re-use the card.
That's all I use now, and some favorite sites like Collectionsetc that don't use PP, I had to drop.

Just dealing with my mental anguish of not being able to do things and it being soooooooooo nice out,70* everyday.And spending time with momma and Rick ,guiding him on what I want done as far as spring cleaning......LOL.God I love him !!!!!!! Gave him a hair cut, he wanted a High and Tight,so now he has it.........LOL. Looks like he is ready for Basic Training.........

Hello everyone.. i got all plants back outside hurt my back to, planted a peony root. i hope get one going ,love them had them on farm growing up. went got few groceries. feel little bit better but anything tires me bad and the pain is horrible..

CAUSE we sure love our 'nuttiest' sistah and can't bear it when she doesn't pop in, dragging her pictures along!
Even the simplest.. "I'm here" message is important.. for then we know you're not on the roof doing God knows what!!!!

You too have been through so much pain... but just like Sis Kathy... you can't leave the garden alone and take care of that back!!!
Please be lazy when it's the garden. It's bad enough you have to cook and clean everyday without help or appreciation.

synda, I know EXACTLY how you feel, wanting to get stuff done and can't. But I don't know how it is to also hurt like you and hope. please get to feeling better if you can.

meanwhile, can I whine a bit? I need to whine.

in exercise class, I recently found out I can dive in as long as it's in the deep end. I used to go down there and jump in. I love to dive.

So today I dove in. Been so long since I've been diving. trying to remember my style. Today I got it closer to right - - - but that's off a board at least 3 feet above the water. this is from poolside. 3 feet closer to the water - and of course I forgot after all this time to "tuck and roll" to prevent collision with the bottom! yup - jammed 3 middle 3 fingers, left hand, my "mouse" hand. Darn these things hURT. they haven't even had the decency to turn black and purple, but they will, I know they will.

Then, trying to buy chemicals today, I favored that left hand and strained the right wrist carrying a 40 lb bag.

so this concludes my whining and my typing for tonight.

It rained today and the frogs are singing SOOOO loud I can hear them with the windows closed.Can't wait until it's warm enough to have them open at night and hear them !!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Synda, if you have frogs singing, that means you have nice temps! Do you live near the water?
I love to listen to crickets and frogs in the summer.

We have a creek right behing the house and one across the road............. Yes it's been in the 70's for about a week.

If frogs are singing here, you can bet they are calling for rain!!!

Synda, Tuesday brought a frog in tonight to show the puppies and just as I said DON"T THEY WILL EAT IT!!! she plopped in on the ground and sure enough one of them scarfed it right up...instantly spit is out and went promptly to the grass and threw up!! I laughed so hard I almost cried.....she said " I thought they would play with it like Willow did" I said, not when you give them their treats the same way you gave them that frog! it was too funny but the look on her face when he tried to eat it was priceless!

Hi Synda! I feel for ya girl, we get nice weather and I'm stuck at work, we get crappy weather on the weekend. LOL frogs are poisonous, good thing it tasted really bad! LOL that would have been hilarious to see! I bet the look on Tuesday's face was priceless!

nope, Twyla sent it "just because it's your birthday". She kept asking if I'd received it yet. I think she was hoping it would get here in time, but Customs musta liked what they saw, so they finally sent it on to me LOL

Well so much for me coming back today, was looking for that project and couldn't figure out what in the world I was supposed to do, then Ms. Cheerful actually asked for help, very nicely in fact, folding about 300 newsletters, so I helped with that and that took up most of the day, but it went fast!!

My dad and his girlfriend will be here tomorrow evening through sometime Sunday, so we are going to have a blast and I'm going to be like Marion on Monday, all pooped out! That's ok, it's going to be worth it!

LOL leaving my eyeballs in bed, me and someone else were talking about that earlier today! That's hilarious!
