Still playing but looked at the clock and think it's time to put up my feet and enjoy the evening..

Vacuumed, dusted, washed the floors along with my projects so I'm pooped...

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sounds like you had a busy day Betty. I had a very very lazy one. Norm is sort of under the weather with a sinus/head cold so I have been on the quiet side today. Spent a good amount of time reading on the threads and catching up with a lot of e-mails. Also printing out family pictures to take to our family get together later this week. Really looking forward to that.
Off to see about something topick on for dinner. Norm does not want to eat so------
Have a great evening.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty you had such a busy busy day, I don't know how you do it. I started cleaning the light fixtures and blinds this morning, then the Nascar race came on and Dave fell asleep, so that ends my cleaning. He eventually went to bed, I got so extremely bored since it's 38* and raining, I ate a can of soup and took the shrimp out to be thawed, now I don't know what to do with them. Dave got up about 10 minutes ago so I know he's not going to be hungry for quite a while. Maybe I'll vacuum here in a few minutes. Oh! Laundry!! Got to get my work clothes in the dryer if I want to be dressed for work tomorrow! LOL!!

Stacey I hope you get over your sickness ASAP! Is the prescription helping?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ooooh head cold/sinus, that's not good, homemade soup for Norm! Nice to have a day just relaxing..didn't realize Barb the family reunion was so soon..you'll have a great time ..take mega photo's..

Crissy, always something to do in the house..wasn't Nascar the race you wanted to go see? sounds like you have the food situation under control..

I'm at the hospital tomorrow morning so don't have to rush..can get things organized and still be on time for my appt.

Kyle called, specialist told him his finger might not look quite like the others or be as great as it once was but that he'd have some use of it..he understands that...our Dr. is away on vacation so several times in the next few weeks he has to go to the hopital and have the dressing changed..because his arms was swelling and rashed, they took the cast off - reason for the cast wasn't because he had broken bones in his arm it was for the purpose of keeping the arm from movement, now he has a hand brace , he's to watch it doesn't get banged..3 weeks and the wires come out then the healing process about 3 or 4 months..

Noah was out dirt biking on the land in front of their house, Kyle says he just knows he's not up to it (meaning Noah) and that he's bound to hurt himself...lol

Kyle enjoyed his afternoon thought at Dog Obedience class..took Ned for the 1st of 8 weeks..Sunday aft. and 2 evenings...before hanging up I said 'don't forget to visit me' and quickly he said 'I'm without wheels grandma, can't ride a bike' so I offered to pick him up any time he wants to visit...

Tired so off to bed I go

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All;

Linda Kay & Crissy - Yup - we had a VERY cold day here as well. The Lord is just trying to teach me patience....

Betty - Love your "quality time" LOL! Boy does Kyle look just like Greg now that I've seen that pic. Does Greg look like DH? I definitely KNOW Noah looks like you ! :)

Barb as my Mom always used to say...sometimes you just have to have a lazy day.

My weekend: Band Jambalaya Fundraiser yesterday... took DH to a nice dinner...movie "Everything's Fine" with Robert DeNiro =good if you want a good cry. I liked it.

Today went to DMIL/DFIL for DS and cousin's bday party. We had spaghetti also... was a very nice time.... Came home tired and I napped then made Chicken Tortilla Soup... It's SO COLD outside !

Cleaned up a bit...DSister, her DH, nephew coming to town for a quick visit next weekend. There is a Civil War reenactment ...they will do that Saturday...then Sunday dinner here.....
Will try to hop on later....

Hugs,
Mary

Had lunch with Wayne,(my sweetie), then we went riding in the country, in the rain! So many beautiful daffodils and Forsythia blooming. Several trees are beginning to show green! Yaaaaay! Saw a hint of red, or pink, on some of them.Grass is beginning to come out green, too, and Wayne groaned about it! He's afraid he might have to buy a mower this year!
He went home and took a nap, and I took one here, till my cat sat on my head and beat me in the face with his tail, to get me up! BAD MARMIE,!!!!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Mary you've had quite a weekend, non-stop, you'll be ready to head into work for a rest..how is it going by the way? You haven't mentioned it recently, did you get some big girl clients?

As to your question about Greg, most times we have quality time I think I'm with Roger, he's his twin..both in mannerisms, ideas and looks..

Know how you feel about the cold and gardens, I so wanted to get outside this weekend and get the pond running but I'd have ended up with pneumonia so it will have to wait another week..haven't listened to the forecast, orginally they were saying we'd have snow...

Audrey, nothing like a drive on a Sunday with a 'sweetie' good for you, you deserve it girl! You were saying that many of the flowers are in bloom, if you remember this exact time last year I was in Washington D.C. with the 4 grandsons enjoying looking at the flowers and trees, I had all but missed the blossoms..wonder if with all the snow and cold they've had if it will be much later before they celebrate with parade/parties etc.

Don't have to leave here this morning until 9:30 as the hospital is only about 10 minutes away, they said come early so early I'll be...not sure what time I'll be finished, that will determine if I stay home afterwards or drive into work..

Forgot to get something cafein free and I'm dying for something hot to drink...should have thought of that yesterday and gone and bought something!

Well, might just have time to sit and do my nails..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Betty, sending you lots of luck at the hospital today. Praying all results are good!

Tubby, how was your week-end? Get any more seeds planted?

Waving to Crissy, Mary, Audrey, Judy, Barb, Stacey, and anyone else lurking!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Waving Back LK!! Betty I hope your appt goes good today, I know you'll let us know.

Tubby I hope your weekend was nice, outside of a cold one.

I'm just working away here at work, so la la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I'll check in after awhile, going to continue working on my project.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Waving back too. It's a dreary day here in NE and I'm tempted to crawl into bed for a nap!! BUT BIG NEWS - I only have a tiny patch of snow left in the yard!!!!! It was really warm here over the weekend and it is almost all gone. The only problem is now I can see where the moles have been having such a good time!!! There are hills all over.
But that will pass when the sun comes out.
Have been busy with housework this morning and some crochet. I really must get to the sewing machine tomorrow - so much to do and March is almost over.
Hope everyone is having a good day and that everyone is well...

Hello All;

LOL... I guessed it then...huh Betty! Greg takes after Roger. I hope you wait for a nice day to get the pond cleared out. I remember when you did this last year...and I was amazed at all the work. Seems as though you did it all in a day....

Yes - They finally gave me some "big girl" accounts at work... Effective March...so was very very due...and rather late...but they gave me "our biggest account" because "you are so good at bringing in new business"....SOooooooo Is that a good thing? or a bad thing? We shall see. It's still a MUCH better company than the one I left. I should count my blessings!

Hugs to all,

Mary

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Mary, glad to hear you got a promotion getting the bigger accounts. We know you can do it!

Betty, are you done at the hospital yet? we are all waiting to hear from you. Hope all is going well.

Tubby, I would love to try and grow some of your seeds. Do you need postage? Thanks so much for offering them.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Betty, glad to hear your OK. Cholesterol meds work pretty good, I know several that are on them, myself included. Make sure you make that appt, with your doc.
And don't burn the turkey!

Victoria Harbour, ON

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

He makes a very good point Betty. I'm assuming it is Greg!! Sounds like you may need to take a bit better care of you... Sounds like things are under control but you need to be good about it. I have two huge quilts I can send so you can just sit and sew bindings!!! Heehee

Well good Day my friends!!

My Gosh Betty, Your quilt is absolutely stunning!! Thank you for showing closer shots of the cross stitching...how incredible I too, am in awe of this treasure of yours.

Ohhh, so cute your baby sleeping on the the sofa. lol, I'd say momma watching him sleep is a good loving quality time...
Was thinking of you over the weekend while it was snowing the entire day! Figured your pond was put on hold, wise decision.
Glad your appt. went well. Just be q good girl and continue with what Doc says ok and take the meds....
How cute you have another project brewing around, your tree pond is going to grand! LOL, had to giggle, thinking with all the rest you have been doing, your mind is whirling up with great ideas.
I am so glad Kyle will be able to visit you anytime...

Tubby, waiving howdy, so glad you are getting in some great sleep!

Mary, AWSOM for you!! Congrats on getting bigger accounts, so glad for you.

Waiving back at you Linda Kay...Saw you took the GS's back, Did you get your nice hot bubble bath in and catch up on relaxation??
So glad you had a good weeks visit. Bet your dad will miss them too.

I am so sorry, I've only had a little time to read and try to stay on what you have all been up to...I miss hanging out with you all through the day. I am hoping to have everything done by this weekend, for sure! Today i finally was able to get my pressies off to Spring Swap buddie, I don't know her until I got her name, so funny shopped first then looked at her profile, lolol not too backwards. But i do think she will like what i've chosen, giggle, giggles I liked what i got her, and now that I did read up yep think she will. OK then I also got my Housewarming gift for that swap! lol Basically the same thing...Now with those two done, my list is getting smaller, and I think i am above water again.

OH, before I forget, BARB...How cool your having a family gathering. I will be thinking of you and know you will have a wonderful time...Much visiting and I am sure hugs all around! You have fun, and I'll keep prayer that Norm is feeling 100% better before that.

I was going to finish my quilt but, feeling so guilty I am so late with the swaps decided to go running around. Nice day for that.
So, Im backed up again witht the quilt, but! all i have left is the borders, most likely an afternoon or evening.
In between, Been trying to keep my house in good orderly fashion. Not easy with all of us here. ROFLOL, I am starting to sound like a broken record, put that away, is that yours? i just cleaned, and of course my favorite...hands on the hips, Pick that Up!
So laundry is also right down to what we are wearing day to day, packing list complete, start gathering not only for our trip to Italy but a second packing for the house, Kids are on Spring break so we are going for the first three days of that. it will Just be the 5 of us.

Then, in the meantime, have a had a slew of calls from my family! Cousin wanting to come visit, SIL, who never calls called just to gab.
Had to run MIL grocery shopping, Holy smackers while i laugh out loud, this was a first, and boy is she a trip to shop with, When that was done had to lugg all the bags in and then change her bedding for her. Zoom home just in time to pick up kids, run to library and then run back to school to get Jake. All home time for DH has been using and research on the computer...We are now ready 85% ready. i think next week shopping for a few last minute items...One being my luggage....

OH Gosh, sorry got to dash again...Twice more today so if I don't get back, have a great evening!
Rag quilt is Great Betty!

Thanks Judy, Linda Kay & Betty for your congrats... I'm still not sure how this will all work out as the commission levels are much lower than I was used to... But HEY - as long as I'm having fun ! Right ! :)

Betty - DS's dad's mom had emphazema...I'm not sure what that is...but she's had it a long time... Have they explained to you what that is? I'm not sure...

Linda Kay - Have you rested up from the DGK's? Hope you had a warmer day today... I had to work outside this morning and it was freezing... Right about the time we finished ....the sun broke through the clouds...it warmed up and we ended up around 75 degrees... Is that why "they" say we don't have 4 seasons? I counted 2 today... LOL "Winter and Summer"....

Judy - Wow - I am exhausted reading your post...you have SO MUCH going on...but it sounds GOOD! YAY! I'm trying to understand what you wrote...I'm sure it's not "3 days in Italy with 5 of us".... Explain? (((HUGS)))

My niece is in Italy studying with FSU (Florida State Univ)... I LOVE reading her FB comments...Quite the life !

Hugs to all,

Mary

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Mary, I had a great time with the two grandson's, but a week is enough! Give me a few months, and I will be willing to do it again! Yeah, same here about the temps, it was 33 when I woke up, but the sun came out and it was like 78 this afternoon! It was so nice, I spent an hour on the back porch watching the hummers! So far we have about 8 of them here!

Baton Rouge, LA

Hey Linda Kay;

Your post made me want to mapquest Del Rio... so I did! ... You are just "to the left" and "a bit south" of us here! I suppose you know that... I don't keep track of geography like I should.....How far from San Antonio?

You are SO close to Mexico...Do you go there much like Betty visits the U.S. ?

One of my old favorite movies... was Fandango... with Kevin Costner... if you've seen it...you'll know why I just thought of that... :) LOL!

Hugs,
Mary

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I live right on the Border, my house is 7 miles away. We don't go over to Mexico much, as we don't have our passports, plus there is a lot of drug wars going on now, and it is getting to be pretty dangerous to cross over. Especially in a town an hour south of us called Eagle pass. People are killed there every day!
We are 160 miles from San Antonio. That is where my youngest son lives, and my daughter in law with my granddaughter.
I don't think I have seen fandango?

Baton Rouge, LA

Linda Kay - That's really scary that town called Eagle Pass... I had no idea... Is Del Rio a small town? I suppose ppl get killed in New Orleans every day... but it seems scary when it's another country... and drug related (although "New Orleans probably the same story). I've always wanted to visit San Antonio....
Fandango is a "coming of age" type movie...that came out in 1985... I fell in love with it... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fandango_(1985_film) Actors Kevin Costner and Judd Nelson, Steven Spielberg funded the film... Most of it takes place near the Texas/Mexico border...

Will the DGK's be visiting again soon?

Hugs,
Mary

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Del Rio is now about 50,000 or so. It is growing pretty fast. When I first got here back in 86, it was just 30,000. Lots of retired military families here, and lots of ranchers.
I will have the boys back here in July for the 4th, they always love to see the fireworks!
I am off to bed, see you all in the morning!

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG Mary have to go back and read what I posted..not emphasima he said angina..here I was thinking about Bernie and not me..lol.he's been ill the past few weeks.. gabbed with him yesterday morning.. he's having 4 teeth pulled that are always absessed ..Mary it's to do with breathing problems...

Doctor also said hardening of the arteries but then I think that is normal for someone my age...that's what you get for posting when you are tired...mis information...

LindaKay, you know me with cross border shopping, it would be a weekly event if I was only 7 miles from Mexican border, but guess if there are gang wars that would be a deterent..imagine you are resting this week with good cause, little ones sure can zapp your energy..you are enjoying your hummers and I am still looking for robins..bitter cold and howling winds this morning, you can feel the temps in the house, looked outside as it sounded just like when we've a blizzard..thank goodness not..

Mary I'm sure you are doing fine, if you enjoy the company and the staff then your almost there...am sure they have complete trust in your ability as do we...

Judy, can't keep up with you, sure do miss you though!

A few days at the cottage with family will be great and then off on your adventure..make sure Steve brings his camera, he's quite the photographer (know that from our trip into Chicago)...
Me thinks you are trying to do much too much..listen who is giving advice right?

You didn't say (or did you) who will be keeping an eye on the kids or at their age can they stay on their own...HOUSE party/HOUSE party..I'm sure not, don't want to frighten you..know you have Mr. Busybody across the street who would keep an eye on them...

Crissy how are you this morning?

Debbie, any news on Paul..is he home or did they let him return to work?

Tubby, sleeping any better...

Liz, waving...

Missing Trisha here, update on Laura and Sage please..maybe you are busy biking...

Well I'd better get upstairs and start getting ready for my day..have been sewing for the past few hours, almost done 2 bags..girls are suppose to come on Saturday and do one, I'll do another then that's it for me..will have 3 boxed for gifts, time to move onto something else...

Gab later

Morning all.
Tubby - how big does a hibiscus grow? I love the blossom and would love to try to grow it. I'm in the address exchange too under Q. Be more than happy to send postage.
So glad to hear you don't have emphysema Betty. I do and it sure can drag you down. All my get up and go seems to have got up and left!!!
Off to print pictures. Check in later.
Warm hugs to all, Barb

Lyndonville, NY

Good morning,

Betty, you crossing the border with gang wars....I can see it now. Grab them by the ear...plunk their behind down...now, we are doing a project....there is no need for this....lets hang door and fix molding. You would have them and that town cleaned up in no time! LOL

Take it easy miss and listen to the doctors with those health problems! They can be controlled easily if you cooperate!

Paul went back to work yesterday (OHHH Happy Dance). His "gas bubble" is no longer in eye sight....he does still have swelling in the macula....and is on restricted lifting and work. Goes back the 31st.
Vision is still off...so he just goes slow.

Glad to hear Kyle is back and recouperating....that poor kid. So wonderful how this turned out, that you got them the cell phones....and he kept his head about him and called for help. He had an Angel on his shoulder as it could have been so much worse.

Jeanna goes back to work the 29th. And Shannon started back last Monday. I am afraid to take a deep breath and relax...it will all hit the fan again!

Waving to everyone......have to go back and read and catch up....

Hugs to Bev & Scotty.....behave yourself Mr. Scotty! You know Betty and I would get lost in a corn field coming to get you out of trouble....but we could do it!

Judy, Liz & Mary, Stacy....everyone.....waving hello....

Hugs Tubby & Shirley....keep smiling!

Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

LOL, yep, we've done the cornfield maze, we've even travelled 1 1/2 hrs. to end up in your back yard again..blame the gps/blame the gps...not me, not Debbie..but oh did we have laughs..

Debbie glad your life seems to be on track again, you now have to pamper yourself, someone should be giving you a crown for all you've been through..you need to be 'Queen for a Day' remember that show - nah, you are much too young...

and yes, crossing the Mexican border I would..you brought something to mind, when I was Recreation Co-ordinator I would drop in to Friday night teen dance from time to time, a couple of kids would be wanting to scrap, I'd get between them, tell them I knew karate and if they didn't watch out they'd be fighting with me, all but one time it worked, they laugh and walk away, the one time it didn't, guess who had a black eye...lol..

Talked to Greg, Noah won the hockey game last night 7-1..next game is in Wasaga Beach (you've been there Stacey on our outing, it's where we took photo's on the beach)..if they win this one they've won the championship, if not they are back to try to win in Midland on Saturday night...then the hockey season is done....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty I'm assuming it's Prinzmetal's angina??? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prinzmetal%27s_angina

And hardening of the arteries???
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardening_of_the_arteries

I'm doing great today, don't know half of what my new project is supposed to be, was getting instructions from Jeff yesterday and got to talking about houses and what-not, and didn't get where I'm supposed to go to get the information to actually do the project, and he's not here today so if he calls I'll ask him, if he doesn't it will have to wait til Monday. My dad and his girlfriend are going to be here tomorrow night!!! I am sooooo excited!!!! After today I'm off until next Monday and I'll try to check in but I may not be here for a few days as well.

Tubby those seeds are awesome! You might want to check the Midsouth forum, some types of Hybiscus grow wild down here and they are loved.

I'll check with ya'll in a bit, going to continue visiting... LOL
