Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I feel like I am going to throw up... just found out someone got a hold of our check card number and went on a shopping spree.. I already called the bank and got it taken care of.. they said it should be taken care of by tuesday.... what a bummer

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh no! How did you find out? Sorry to hear that. Been through that with the credit card - twice.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Allison, im so sorry , I know exactly how feel, it happened to me too once. I am a member of a Credit Union and they honor all but the first $50.
How did you find out?
I went thru the drive-tru on Monday morning like i always did and the girl looks at me and says."You not in California!" Hold on!!!" then she dashed away from the window leaving me very confused. A few minutes later she came back and asked me to please come inside so she could explain. She realized while looking at my account that there was someone at an ATM in Carson City, California withdrawing my money. She put a freeze on it instantly, contacted the bank and demanded they hold those security tapes outside the ATM. Thats what she did in the short time she left me at the window. I will never trade banks!
I hope it all gets straightened out. :(

because I have online banking... I have alerts set up when any purchase or withdrawal over $100.00 is made... sends it to my email.. and now I set up to get them on my phone.. see if it was a rainy day... i would have known right away... the bank said we are covered 100% and any overdraft charges will be waved... and they did over draft big time.. funny thing is they purchased stuff online... wondering where the items were shipped to... hope it is a stupid kid at the pizza place and he had the stuff shipped to his house... that is the only thing I can think of .. and two of the businesses are in NJ.. computer store & sporting goods

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

wow - glad you saw it early allison!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Anyone have Magnolia Elizabeth??

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Or Cercis Hearts of Gold??

Thomaston, CT

Not me, but my son's FIL has 2 of them. They are not too showy, but we're talking cold Goshen, where everything freezes up...there were a few blooms last year. We just had an alert by our police dept. that a bear was spotted a mile from our house....the recording said bring pets inside...I let mine out....they will bark the bear away, especially the pointer mix.

Thomaston, CT

What's the common name?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Second is redbud.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I ordered the redbud.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Very pretty Victor!
Ask Magnolialover(Tracy) , I think she has that one. I have 'Big Bird', 'Flamingo' , and 'Stella Acclaim'. However....one of the last 2 mentioned does not look like it made it thru the winter. :(

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks. Don't worry, Celeste - I already picked the redbud.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

That stinks Allison, but good thing they send you those alerts.
Yes Celeste, stay with that bank.
Love that yellow foliage Redbud.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i have hearts of gold

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

That golden redbud is beautiful. I may look for one of those. I wonder if it is prone to sun scald like tri-color beech? The native Cercis is so abundant in our area we have to remove them from our pines from time to time. The natives, if grown in an open space are globular and very attractive. A couple of years ago Holly tried winter sowing some of the natives seed and got about a half dozen that we raised to 12-18 inches in the garden. We transplanted about 3 to our borders and gave away the rest. I also wonder if that golden would set true seed or hybridize with the natives? Ric

love that rose... and I hate it when that happens.. just have to go back for the wheel barrow today (and look at more plants)

South Hamilton, MA

I usually get pansies from a local source. I have to plant them where I can see them to remember to deadhead.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice, Celeste.

It is supposed to hold up to sun. I will probably place it somewhere in my pool area so it will get PM shade. Like the idea of placing it in that vicinity because it will be near the Forest Pansy, which will be a great color contrast.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i have mine in afternoon shade - two years in the ground now about 7' tall and skinny.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

NBA center??

I just got the latest Firefox. Has 'personas' - custom banners. Nice.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

too skinny actually - have it staked and thinking about trimming it so it will fill out - has plenty of branching - no flower buds that i can see - all the other little rb's are loaded with them.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Where did you get it?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

sonner plant farm - along with two or the other rb's - they others are shorter and thicker at least now - should see a good growth spurt this year.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Well this one will be small too - 30 inches or so.
