think I need more white blooms.. love that shot JoAnn...

until that one came up ... I never saw one before either.. right after I took that shot I went and looked it up... and found that if you don't cut them off.. you might have less foliage ... it got the pruners right after that

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Its like coleus blooms, who need that.

this is a rain lily... they were freebies from easy to grow bulbs I wasn't sure how they would be so I just stuck them in this container.. they didn't bloom very long but were nice... not something I would lift every year though

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

OK I''ll get back to you in a few weeks.Bare ground where mine are marked and its too cold an rainy to inspect further.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

good news is I spotted a bunch of crocus popping up (including the saffron ones that I haven't had luck with before) & hellebore buds

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yippee!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the ret. iris come up before or after crocus?

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

onewish1. The retictulated iris come up around the same time as some of our crocus. However in some years a few cultivars are earlier, and some are later than the crocus. They bloom mostly from around mid March to mid April. This photo was take last April 2. Patti
