Funny.
Good one, Victor. Still laughing... No, they aren't yours, they are mine, right, Celeste?
Haa ha, Victor has competition! LOL
Can't wait to see the photos of all those new plants! Am heading to HD & Lowes today to check out short fencing for my back gardens---fencing there rotted out, & I must TRY to keep the dogs out....I'm going to try to stay away from the plant dept.---haha.
Got White Flower Farm catalog yesterday. Couldn't resist the following:

http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/cgi-local/search.pl?text=silk+road
That place is just too $$ for me.
me too I refuse to open it
I actually like some of the combos and will buy similar plants locally
me too, I have the rose, didn't not pay that much although thats really not to bad for a rose. Purple pillow I got last year for $9.99 and Silk Road is beautiful but you could of found it much cheaper!! 3bulbs for $22

My cactus dahlia is coming back! The one I had last year was put away and now it’s coming back in sphagnum moss & a heat mat! This is exceptionally good news since this is the first one that ever came back from ‘the winter sleep’. Now that I have perfected the method of re-animation from suspended animation, (due to my impeccable & diligent scientific techniques), I’ll be able to keep them and not have to buy them every year, (at least the ones that I have already, lol). Yippee!!
- Ordered a seed tray w/ heat mat & a light for the little ones...

☺!
nice stuff.. love that light bar but it's out of my price range... I just use the shop lights from HD.. the 2' ones I had shipped from the ACE hardware outlet... didn't realize they did not have cords.. they were the ones meant to be hardwired ... OOPS.. that's why they were so cheap.. Randy is putting cords & plugs on them for me though.. glad he is so good with that stuff ... I needed a couple more because the little stand I bought a few years ago.. the one ballast went... and the other one I have to turn the light to get the 2nd bulb to come on .. EVERYDAY... sooooo I picked up a few more.. but we couldn't find the 2' fixtures at a good price even HD was expensive

Yeah, I have a 40 watt fixture (T-12) w/ a grow light, that I could have used & built a frame for out of wood, but the T-5 lights are very energy efficient so I opted to go for the savings in the long run, since the frame from Amazon is metal it'll last longer and it has a reflector housing which the other, older fixture doesn't. -that way I can use more of the light to help the plants, instead of scattering the light & illuminating the room...
Yes, WFF is pricey. I had a gift certificate. Otherwise I would have looked elsewhere for the better deals.
Their pictures are so pretty, though. Nice colors on your choices.
You'll love the burgundy Rose.......it's smells and looks heavenly!!
nice choices SOJ - glad you had the gift certificate - always use their catalog and the wayside gardens catalog to gawk at. in fact i have several pages with corners flipped on the WS catalog that came about a week ago.
SongofJoy, I am the same with WFF. Lot a drooling and not much spending , but I do order a few bulbs from them each fall. They are reasonable and have been great. I have that Rose, Burgundy Iceberg, but from S & W and only since last spring. I hope it returns. I do love a couple of others R. Rhapsody in Blue & r. Midnight Blue that are similar in color. Love the geranium, and I don't have that one nor the L.Silk Road. hummmmmmm???? Can't wait to see them in your special garden. I will enjoy yours! Patti
Since I am but a few miles from WFF, I'll pop in occasionally...sometimes in the fall they have sales. Plus they'll sometimes have interesting plants not listed in the catalog. Their begonia greenhouse is outstanding. And I get most of my tomatoes at their Tomatomania Fest---they are lovely, robust plants.
My parents in-law live in Watertown and brother-in-law in Thomastown so I've been wanting to drop by WFF next time I visit them, but it has been about two years since I've made it down to visit. I would love to see the grounds - do they have nice display gardens? I see the pics in the catalog and have always assumed it was their property.
Placed an order with Davidsan for JM's: One each of: Calico, Happy Corallinum, Hippy Fin Mo, Shishio hime and Yama hime. Bonus plant is Hearts of Gold redbud.
Also added to my FW order - added Acer Johin, Acer p Mr. Sun, Spirea Golden Elf, Spirea thunbergii Ogon, and one Zenobia (for a gift).
Whoa! Can't wait to see them!
Me too! The Zenobia is for my Meriden friends. I chose it to pair with the JM I got them last year - Orangeola.
Oh my gosh, more JM's!!???
All are dwarf.
for dwarf's i usually choose topiary gardens - good size plants and less expensive than davidsans - although the the bonus hearts of gold makes up the difference - good luck with them!!
Checked her first - sold out of way too many. Not a good way to manage inventory.
she graft's her own trees and has over 500 varities - tough to keep all of them in stock - that's why i order mine in january from here and david
you will be very happy with davidsans as you know:)
Victor, you are very kind to your Meriden friends...I live closer to NY than they do...just drop the JMs in the driveway!
Hee hee!
I am thinking about ordering some more glads...last year I said I wouldn't plant as many, but I lied.
I am really looking forward to seeing all these new trees and plants from everyone.
