Doris thanks for showing me your autumn treasures, the stick i recieved is leafing away, thanks to a nice dgr'..
Love the birdie shot.. looks like a finch.. congrats on your 27 years... I agree anything over 20 is something different these days. Joe and I are celebrating 30 years in June, he is my third hubby so I think I made the right choice. Today I potted up a brug cutting named Cotton Candy in a plastic Cotton Candy tub that says Cotton Candy.. LOL It would be cool to find containers that have the same names as my brugs. I also potted up a cupids bow, autumn treasure and sowed some more seeds. That bloom up there is a penta that I saved from winter and they are blooming now. I am so glad I saved all those annuals, the impatiens are blooming too! sorry it is blurry, the batteries were low.

Doris
Dee
it's good to see you're back, I have missed you also
Elva
I won't know what to do when we have warm weather, I have spent most of the day, with my cat, she had 3 kittens & a 4th one was stillborn, I am having her fixed, when the kittens are 6 weeks old, I don't want her to go through again, she is resting with her babies, I think she's going to be a good mamma
Elizabeth
Elizabeth, I asked you about that cat. You know when she was gone, That must have been when she got the babies. Poor Sept. Hope the babies will be o.k. And Granny too.....Poor Elizabeth..
Charlene
the 3 babies are doing great, now I am relieved, she is resting, when she came back, she didn't look like she was going to have babies, but a couple months now she sure did, I will have her fixed, none of the babies looks like her
cute but not like her, hey I have another Brug about to Bloom, I hope your weather will be as nice as our's this weekend
it's suppose to be 46 Sunday, I can't wait, there are a lot of things outside I have too take care of
Elizabeth
Congratulations Elizabeth, on becoming a grandma again!..lol Gonna share pics of the new babies?
Which brug is about to bloom? 46 on Sunday...it will feel like Spring!
Hi Doris, How are your blooms doing on your Autumn treasure? Close opening yet?
Hey, Charleen...what are your temps running?
Dee
Dee
I will take Pic's they are sooo cute, give me a day or too, the Brug is Serendipity, there will be Pic's, I am sooo glad
Spring soon, I can't wait too get outside & play, as you will
Elizabeth
What color are the babies Elizabeth..I love baby critters..well, I love about all critters, be especially babies.
I can hardly wait to see the picture of your new bloom. I have a couple more tiny blooms coming on Frosty pink..but they are tiny...maybe a half inch..lol
Looks like we have the same forcast as you do, for Sunday..Yippee!
Dee
Dee
I am sooo excited for us both, the babies are white with Black spots & a black tail & black boots, they are big kittens
my poor sepi had such a hard time, that's why I am having her fixed, it will be nice when your Frosty blooms, my Pink Perfection
has rotted, from the top of the stem all the way down, I do hope it comes back from the roots
Elizabeth
They sound adorable, Elizabeth. She will probably stay closer to home, after she is spayed. All 3 of our dogs are fixed. Anyone that has 3 dogs should not have puppies..lol.
I'm sorry to hear about your pink perfektion. If it doesn't come back from the roots,I have a nice one that Brenda sent me last fall.If all goes well, I will share a cutting with you , come summer. My Doosie cutting is rotting from the top down. I just keep trimming it off, but I don't have a lot more to trim!
Dee
Dee
I hope both of ours do well, if mine doesn't it really isn't that big a deal, I have so many pinks already, I am looking for more Orange & Yellow's, I am sure there will be more out there this Spring/Summer besides I have a bunch of seedlings growing
Elizabeth
Most of my doubles are pinks too, Elizabeth. I do have a decent mix of singles going tho, I think.I think these darn things know when it's time to start growing, even in the house! They have really started shooting up...course the MG might be helping..lol
I can hardly wait to see the blooms this summer. I just hope some of them bloom a lot sooner than my noid dig last fall...it was Oct, but these are going to be a whole lot healthier than that one was when I put it out.
Dee
Dee
once you get them in the ground, they will bloom quicker, they should Bloom by June, do you have Peaches & Creme?
if not I have extra clippings, I also have Mary K rooting for you, it's a pretty double
Elizabeth
No, Elizabeth, I don't have peaches and cream. Thank you for sharing, both! I think Mary K is just beautiful!Don't forget that I have an Angel's Swingtime rooting, for you too. I think it is a very pretty double yellow..well, in the pics, anyway...never seen it, outside of pics.
Elizabeth, do brugs need extra light in the winter, even if they are in a sunroom?
Dee
Dee
I wouldn't think in a sunroom they would need extra light, if it is warm they should be able too grow year round, I have an enclosed back porch, that I am going to turn into a sunroom this year, it needs new windows & a register out there,so it;s not like a walk in freezer, too me it's a lot of wasted space, I am going too fix that, I could put a bunch of Brugs
out there
Elizabeth
I would love to have a sunroom, but if I don't get that, at least I know I will have a plant room...next winter.I used to have a nice closed in back porch, but like yours it was cold and wasted space...Tomorrow, I might know about the other place...if it's good news, I'll dmail and let you know....If it's not good news, I'll just go back to bed and cover my head up...lol
Dee
Hi Dee, Doris, Elizabeth, Molly, Elva, Charleen.. have I missed anyone? I hope your day was a good one. I am so happy you are a grandma to the fur babies, elizabeth.

Debra

Elizabeth
I wish I had some blooms you guys.. but I do have alot of nice healthy plants that are patiently waiting.. Dee. . not me that has blooms.. just Elizabeth and Doris right now the luckys..
Oh Debra, I thought you had other plants blooming..oops
Dee
Debra
the Blooms are for you also, this winter 2010 you will have lots of Blooms, you'll see, your basement gardens are beautiful, when you get your Brugs in the ground, they grow sooo fast, when you take them to your basement you'll see some Beauty's
Dee
you'll have too have a sunroom, by the time Summer is over, with all your clippings getting big this Spring/Summer
get plenty of MG, so you'll be ready
Elizabeth
I have already started stocking up on MG. I have always used it on my other plants, but now I will be using a lot more.
still gonna try to get a load of manure too. Gonna feed them babies, so they can do their best for me.
Dee
well I do have other flowers blooming..;) the lantanas and texas red star hibiscus and begonias and geraniums, and pentas, and impatiens are blooming, oh and yes, the shrimp plant is still kicking it out LOL .. but none smell as good as you know who.. the beautiful brugmansia!
I have a friend at work that is putting back dried cow chips for me LOL

Dee
gnite Dee, almost time for me to call it a night.. it was nice to see ya!
thats great Debra...they will really help!...night
Dee
Dee
you need some epsome salts also, right after you plant your Brugs outside, use one of those hose end spayer's fill it up with the epsome salts & spray till it's empty, that starts the green up, I used it last summer on everything, even my lawn
I had the greenest grass, & all my plants looked great, I use it as well as the MG, if you had seen the size of my Apricot moonflower when I planted it, & how big it got by the end of the season, you would have been amazed
Elizabeth
you have an apricot moon flower??? I wanna see plz? I have never seen one before..
Hi Debra,
I'm popping in and out cause I'm working outside now. It's been several years since anyone has taken care of this place and there is a ton of catchup work to do to get ready for spring (coming soon here). I tried raking yesterday and ended up hurting with only a forth of the front done so I went out and bought a blower to see if that is easier on me (and faster!).
