Dee
I think it takes about 2 yrs, from seed too Bloom, if you don't catch the seed in time. it drops to the soil, & you've got a baby in with the mother plant, it has been snowing all day, i hope it quits soon

Elizabeth

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Dee they said we had an additional 5"
My son called to say he would not be able to make it over today to dig me out, digging himself out *LOL*

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

That's not that bad, I guess..but it still takes a lot of patience..lol..How neat, that they will drop and re-seed.I love re-seeders.How much snow do you have so far Elizabeth.....too much I bet..lol
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Doris as long as you are safe and warm, and are stocked up...bet he will get there tomorrow.Sounds like you have a wonderful son.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee & Doris
we have 7 or more inches right now, it's still coming down, Doris stay safe & warm, I hope your son gets his done so he can come over & help you, years ago there were a lot of kids that would shovel for money, not anymore, we have lived here 5yrs now, & not one kid that will mow lawns or shovel snow, they just don't do it anymore

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, you got that right! When we were kids, we used to make our spending money like that..That was just the other day, wasn't it?...lol
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
seems like it. I didn't do much shoveling this year, last year I did a lot, I did enough then, if anyone wants it done, they can do it, if this keeps up I see a snow blower in my future, my DD is sooo surprized that I haven't got one already,
I want too see 70 degree day, hey where's Charlene, I wonder if she got snow today

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

You do need a snow blower, Elizabeth!! Our son in law usually brings his snow blower over and blows off the back patio..to the door and the front walk from the door to the van. If he doesn't get over, we do the front path, but it is short.
Last I heard Charleen had rain. That was this morning.
I am gonna get off of here, and rustle up some supper. Talk to you later this evening, if you are on.
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

But the rain went away and so is the snow, gone. I Burned my supper, while on here. Got to quit Multi-tasking like that ☺
Not too good. Had Boiled eggs but they were perfect. burned the beef, make good dog-food now!!! Poor Robert....☻
Charleen but he doesn't looked like he has missed many meals.....

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
Hi good to see you, it could be worse, you could be here, where the snow has been coming down steady all day, where
I shoveled the other day, it's all covered again, I lucked out today my DH, fixed fish with onions, sweet peppers, green& Red, & stuffed mushrooms, I think I'll keep him

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

All right. Think i will mine too. He didn't even fuss. Just told me I might have to take cooking lessons.....he's so funny.
I'll be safe tomarrow. I'll cook it in the crock pot. How about that???
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
sounds great, I can't believe between my DD & her dad, I haven't had too cook for 3 days, that's a record for me, I love the crock pot, & even better, I got a deep fryer, that has a big basket & 2 small ones, my DH loves it, so now I get to play on the puter, then I go in the kitchen do the dishes, so buying that fryer was a good thing

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Girls, I love my kitchen gadgets.. crockpot, griddle, electric skillet, deepfryer, etc. They all come in so handy. But, I raelly need to break down and get a new crockpot. I have used mine to death.Aren't they nice to have in the summer, when ya want to spend the day outside?
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
they are great for the summer, & don't heat up the kitchen, when the air conditioner is on, make you meal, just leave it
they had on the new awhile ago, the we were 19. some inches over what we normally get all winter, I bet it's the same way at your house
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Yes, they had it on here, too.We are over average too, but I can't remember by how much. I been cleaning out one of the closets..One in one of the spare bedrooms...It is not a pretty site..lol
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
it never is, when I start on the attic, it's not going too be pretty either, it's funny when you start cleaning, you always see sooo much more that needs to be done, I have been getting rid of all the clothes, I haven't worn for awhile, I have more room in my closest, but there is a lot more to go, I would love to have those organizer's, wire racks

Elizabeth

Hamilton, OH

Dee
there was a winner of Edna's contest for those seeds, I didn't know if you checked it out today, lucky girl, those are some nice Brug seeds
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I would love to have them too, Elizabeth. They a make a closet look so neat and clean.I am going thru clothes also. I just have too many, and I usually wear the same things over and over..lol. Some I haven't worn in ages.Did your snow stop Elizabeth. I think ours finally has. I saw where Seymour got 7 inches this time around.
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

No, I haven't been there today, but I will go check it out in a few minutes. Yes, they were nice! Lucky girl, is right.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
nope, it's still going strong, it's blowing, the plow's just went by, there's no school tommorrow, my niece lives a street
over from me, she's ready to run away from home, she has 3 boys, they've been out of school biggest part of last week today & tommorrow, it has snowed all day, I can't imagine what the total will be if this keeps up, my poor DH, got over to his mom's earlier & couldn't pull up in her drive, he had to shovel in order to do that, all the snow he had just done the other day, was right back

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I bet your niece is ready to run away from home..lol..3 boys, oh my!
I hope it lets up soon for you. That would be awful to have to shovel, before you could even pull in.My daughter in southern IN is getting it about like you all.Hope we are done!

Elizabeth is that bloom as big as it looks. It's hard to believe that a cactus would have a beautiful bloom, like that, isn't it...but, I know some do.!
That bloom looks like it should be fragrant, doesn't it? I can't imagine haulin' that bugger in and out..lol
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
sorry that Pic is fuzzy, the Bloom is bigger than that it's not quiet open, I was so excited it was going too Bloom I just got the camera & snapped, if it were only fragrant, at the end of summer it had 13 Blooms on it at one time, they only last for one day, I had a beautiful one that Bloomed lilac color, my DH over watered it, well now he leaves that too me
he was sooo disappointed he loved that one

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I know that was beautiful with 13 blooms on it. I bet your DH was upset when your lilac one died. Was it big too? I am not good with succulents of any kind.I always tend to water too much. Elizabeth, I am going to get off of here and hit the sack.Talk to you tomorrow evening, I hope. Good Night.
