Thanks all.
So many beauties. That's a cool dianthus, Allison. Like a lollipop.
Nice orchid shot, bop. Great place to find morel mushrooms!
Great shot, WC. Perfect lighting. Nice lilies in there, Jo. And the great lilies continue with Pirl's shot.
Don't have that weigela, Pat. How big does it get?
Great pairing, Bill.
Waterlily.
Countdown to spring! Part 10
Thanks Victor I have tons of lily bulbs coming, have to find room for them.
Buy first, ask questions later!
It gets 3-4 feet tall and wide according to tag Victor. It grows quickly to that height. Mine was not a huge plant and here it is in fall. Has a decent yellow color that holds on for a long time in fall. It is the yellow shrub almost dead center of pic. One season in my garden there. Have another in the front bed.
Love the water lily, such a pretty color yellow. Is it a hardy one?
Bill that is a nice barberry. Can't get them in Ma anymore I don't think, on invasive list at least some of them are. Such a nice color that looks good with a lot of other shrubs and blooms.
yes they are - not as bad as bb's
Yes, it's hardy, Pat.
Beautiful gardens Pat
yes they are and i googled the ghost and went to the proven winners site - just spent $1000 in my head:)
Thanks. That is a dangerous site if you are looking out at white right now. Lots of temptations as you have found.
Japanese barberry is illegal in MA now. There are native ones.
Oh isn't that nice. Something about that daisy shape makes me smile and that is a gorgeous color. I like the gradation a bit darker towards the center too.
I love any daisyish flower... nice Jen!!!
because Pirl asked so nicely.. I did some digging in my old unorganized files and found the name of my NOID.. spangled star

Nice work on the id onewish. It doesn't seem to get really large so maybe you are doing okay.
yeah maybe.. LOL
funny I looked at the other plants I bought from the not so reputable company ... and one of the first plants I bought was the clematis blue light... it died and I didn't even remember I tried that one before.. at least my taste stayed the same!!
Congrats to Allison on the new BOTD!! Nice!
thank you
It's beautiful, Allison. Congratulations!
thanks momma!!
Is that an aster?
Nice clem on BOTD. Congrats Allison!!
I'm so glad Victor clued me in to this thread. So much beauty here since I checked in yesterday! I love the barberry in front of the blue spruce and Pat's soft, autumn colored garden.
Victor's waterlily just glows. The rudbeckia has an interesting shape. My petals are always a little more rounded.
Nice collage of lilies and poppies. Lovely photo of Sea Breeze.
Here is valerian, almost fully open and smelling like vanilla. I dug this up from an old, 19th century foundation in the woods.
thank you Weeze... fleabane JoAnn.. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/88960/
nice valerian... know where I am going when stressed out!!!
First of all, big congrats on BOTD Allison.
Beautiful combo once again JoAnn. Love those poppies.
Pretty pink 'Sea Breeze'. Sure is nice with all those petals.
Lovely delicate color on that Valerian. Sounds just yummy.
Can't remember if I posted this guy yet or not, but these are a nice long blooming blue/purple for the garden and the butterflies like them too.
the color is great
thank you Ngam... what is that purple one??.. very pretty
Oh sorry, labeled the pic but forgot to do the same in the post. Yes it is stokesia 'Klaus Jellito'. Also have 'Purple Parasols', a dwarf one 'Pixie Purple' I think is the name and a yellow one I will have to look up too. Will be getting 'Peachie's Pick' this spring. They are really nice plants I think.
Okay found it. Hate when I can't recall a plant. The dwarf is 'Purple Pixie' and the yellow one is 'Mary Gregory'.
Lovely pic of geranium. One of the best new intros in the past several years with Rozzanne, but stays more compact here. It just keeps on going till frost.

Both stokesias are lovely.
Pixie, I have Jolly Bee and I really love her. She seems to bloom from early summer till way into the fall.
If you want, I can send you some valerian seeds later in the summer. It re-seeds itself all over the place so I've never bothered to gather seeds before but it should work.
Yes, I really like Jolly Bee for that exact reason!
Oh thank you Bebop, that would be lovely!!
can't yell at me this time Celeste!!!
LOL Nope
Speaking of 'Pixie'..........these are killing me!
