34 more days!!
Let's keep it going.
This is coralberry Amethyst.
Countdown to spring! Part 10
That's a beauty, bop! Can practically smell it!
Great shot, WC.
Lovely Valentine photos! About the robins---we do have some residents, but I began seeing many more after the snow hit the Mid-Atlantic---large flocks. In today's paper, the nature column said many birds not here at this time of year were showing up due to storm. That dark maroon clem is a winner, Victor. Jo---thanks for the info on spraying---I'm desperate.
lovely pics everyone.. Bebop looks like postcard
There are "winter Robins " here all year.
We get the migraters the first week of March so if you are seeing them in CT.and the Hudson Vally ,thats about right on time.
The winter Robs stay in a flock that resides closer to the lake but when times are tough they come into the suburbs for berries that grow on trees like Bitter Sweet and crab apple bushes.
Hi Allison
Nice astilbes
I was looking at astilbes in Bluestone catalog last night. They are tempting to buy since we have shaded beds. Did buy the red 'Fanal' last yr. We will see if it appears this gardening season;
I just wished they lasted longer... but I do love them
That can be said of most perennials.
I wish Lilies lasted longer too.
We hover over the plants for a month while they emerge from the ground and bloom for 2 weeks then Plish - -they are gone.
The nice thing about the various sizes of bearded irises is that you can start with the dwarfs (early May here) & go through the month as taller & taller ones appear through mid June. Then the beardless siberians take over.
love that heuchera
Caramel
yummy!!
love those!!!
Such lovely photos!
Bebop - I bet you arranged the clouds for your perfect picture. It's wonderful.
Thanks. I took a lot of shots before I got the clouds like this! My neck was bent out of shape for the rest of the day.
I really love those collages, GE.
the shot was worth it!!
I do, too! Let's me see some combos that I wouldn't think of putting together.
they are good inspiration for me to start thinking before I plant
:)
Photos are not working again for me.
Not here either, as far as your pictures. Crabapple is nice. Ours is a white flowered type & from its location, I suspect the birds planted it.
Lovely photo--those colors are amazing!
Thanks, it has a very intense red coloration
Great, WC!!!
Oooo, I like it!!!
nice to see the pix
Victor--yer getting so artsy! Gorgeous! ^_^
Wild hibiscus!
Victor - you have the prettiest penstemon I've ever seen. (Behave!)
love them all
These are all just gorgeous flowers.
HI everyone, trying to check in on the threads and I'm having serious issues here. No pictures, even the top of the home page isn't showing! Am I the only one experiencing this? : (
