Just saw an ad today for almond milk, that actually looks good.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

My mother never breast-fed. She liked me as a friend. (Old line!!!)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

lol

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

OMG that's awful Victor!! ☺

I love milk, tried all the others like soy, rice, almond...just not the same as cows milk. I couldn't eat the eggs our chickens laid when we had them though!! Ewww!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I love skim milk. Soy is okay at best. Didn't appreciate the breasts I started growing.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I asked Lily if she wanted a bath before her first date

:)

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I think almond milk tastes pretty good. Not too much like cow's milk but good.

Debi & Donna, A lot of people think eggs are fertilized and like little embryos. They generally aren't fertilized.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Debilu, Ric and I have a close friend that has been Vegan for at least 10 years. It is not a life choice we follow but I very much understand your feelings. I asked her one day about her decision as I understood not eating meat but didn't quite get the milk, cheese and egg restrictions that she follows. She explained her personal beliefs that brought her to the Vegan Lifestyle. Neither of us would think you "weird".
Victor, I didn't read most of the studies on dairy (I'm sure that the Dairy Institute has funded many of them) and can't quote most of the articles I've read about it. I can say that Ric had me including dairy in my diet for years before I started to see the recommendations to include 3 servings of dairy in your diet every day popping up in places like Weight Watchers and Prevention Mag. Yes, the Calcium and Vitamins found in Dairy can be supplemented in other ways if you can't or prefer not to drink milk. Just like the vitamins found in other foods can also be supplemented. But much of what I see and read talks about how consuming dairy products, effects metabolism. How you consume certain foods and drinks at certain times changes how the body uses it and what benefits your receive. The process of eating and drinking triggers certain chemical reactions in your body that just popping pills doesn't. You pointed out that a lot of overweight people consume dairy products, they also consume fat and sugars and possibly certain medications. Calories in and calories out is really the basics of weight loss or gain but there is so much more to weight maintenance and to good health than that basic. Holly

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Onewish, Good luck tomorrow hope all goes well. Maybe you could play Lily some Barry White tunes to get her in the mood. LOL Holly

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Tried soy milk, don't like the aftertaste. Tried goat cheese in jr. high, didn't care for it, but what do jr. high kids know.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Allison, I would think it's best to leave her stinky, no? You might wash away the "heat" musky scent.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

True, Holly. I like dairy a lot myself. Cheese especially.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Mmmmm, cheese.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Especially with red wine!! Ever have asiago cheese?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh you guys might be right about not washing her.. LOL

I love asiago!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love asiago. Esp on spring mix salad with red wine vinagrette with pine nuts or pecans and black olives

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, I never showered...

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Allison do you just put them in a room together and close the door?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not long ago no one seemed to know about asiago. We loved it for years.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thanks to Rachael Ray everyone knows about it now.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh, I didn't know she pushed it. I haven't seen that many of her shows. I brought it once to an end of semester party at Columbia and everyone went nuts for it. Not one person had heard of it.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

well she won't be in heat for another week or so... but Michele said to make sure one doesn't drag around the other once they hook up.. try to get them to stay still.. not that Riley could.. but Lily can

start the way you would describe then turn back end to back end ... and leave em be

the way Riley is so persistent we won't have to lock em up... even when she wasn't in heat he was checking out the scene ... and she wasn't happy with him... when the time is right she will change her mind... might have to separate them to be able to sleep though.. Michele warned me it's going to be noisy

South Hamilton, MA

Even end to end they should stay still until male disengages. (former breeder of cocker spaniels).

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yes she did say that

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

any advice is welcome.. please d-mail me if there is something I should know

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Good luck Lily don't be too easy...

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

easy is good in this case.. I hope she gets passed that she really doesn't like him.. LOL

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Hormones should take care of that!LOL Ric

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

OK, I have to admit that I am weird as I do eat cheese. If there was a good substitute I might not. And I do eat eggs, I just try not to think about them, fertilized or not! It's all in my head!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

What a tread.
Just popping in to say I actually think its getting warmer.
I dont wear fleece everyday.

Its still winter. You know the saying about March. I dont think its been a brutal winter, up here anyways. Yesterday I had the fireplace going and the door open.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)
