Oh nice pic Victor. He doesn't look too happy does he? Pretty guy though and I hope he is filling up with seeds while he can.
Keep all the snow over there will ya or shuttle it up to Bill and the ski areas, they like it. Still just flurries on and off here. Just heard on the news that it might stall for a while, that could be a good thing maybe, or not, then just go east to the ocean.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He was busy chewing! Weird how cardinals stare right at you.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Nice shot Victor, Nothing sticking here. More like sleet, but blowing a bit more and seems colder. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks. Latest prediction is 12-16 inches for us! Been plowed once already.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Just switched back to snow, hubby is out doing the 1st round of snowblowing.
It is really coming down.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

ric i hope you have a picture of holly in those waders:)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

great!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Real snow now. Just started to pick up a bit to a steady pace and sticking on the ground too. Still not much wind and temp still sitting at 30 degrees.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! What a trooper!

I heard about it.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

I am soooooo jealous that you have Cardinals. I have always wanted to have them - since the first time I saw a picture as a kid. That red against the white is so dramatic. I wonder if I could import them?

The weather was on all the morning programs this morning - it seems like it will never end for you guys. First the snow and then the wind. I hope you're all hunkered down in front of your fireplaces with hot chocolate.

Our temperatures have dipped 10 degrees, so we're a little chilly compared to last week. I have to remind myself that it's still only February.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i think this storm will miss here - not happy

South Hamilton, MA

Yes, it has been snowing all morning & not sticking. Mail came early however. We usually get it about 3 p.m.. Windy

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice shot Victor!!!.. mine are very shy... always fly away if they see me first

Ric just love that shot of Holly... reminds me of a time when I HAD to go feed horses in this stuff.. twice a day

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

I have quite a few Cardinals too but have you ever watched him chasing his lady away when she is trying to have a seed? When spring comes he is feeding her, ha ha

It is still just mushy snow, collecting only a bit in the lawn, we will have icy roads should get colder, bet it will

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Sleet still. Wind from the NE at 23 MPH gusting to 33 MPH
Visibility 2 1/2 miles
Precipitation last hour 0.01 inches
Temperature 35 F

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Maria, isn't that just the way. I'm not going to share . . . until I need something from you. I guess it's a trait we get from Mother Nature. Ha!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Gone over to rain/very wet snow now. This means less accumulation I hope. Temp 31 degrees and still light wind with a few little gusts here and there.

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

It is STILL snowing here. I haven't tried to plow out yet, and am starting to run low on the wood that I brought in from the woods last week. Wood stove has been going non stop since Friday. Victor, great shot of that cardinal. Ric, great picture of Holly too, but I can't even recognize her with all that winter gear on!! Terri

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Since it switched back to snow we've gotten another 2 1/2"

Our drive & road are still just wet but it has been snowing like crazy---guess it's still too warm to stick, but that should change soon----darn.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

flowerjen, I think that photo should be on the front page of a news site. Talk about dedication!

Why I let my wife talk me into having kids:

you need to get him a new shovel - that looks all bent.

we are now supposed to get a dusting to an inch - we were all set here - beef brisket is in the oven and fire place is ready to go.

Reminds me of that commercial (cell phones, I think) where the Dad is talking to the Mom and they’re having coffee and watching the teenagers out shoveling snow. The dad told the kids they have to do it to get cell phone service, but the service is apparently at no charge from the cell phone company . . .

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Didn't see that one, Katie - funny!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

We're getting some of the worst right now. Wind is awful. It's been going in spurts all day. At times almost nothing and then WHAM!!! Hard to estimate totals cuz of the rainy/sleety mixed in. Very heavy stuff.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

The dad burns his lip at the end (sort of cosmic retribution for gloating about misleading his kids). I think it's Verizon. I tried to find it online, but couldn't.

Jan - hope you're in for the duration!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - really blowing here now.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

snow stopped here about mid-day. No school today either.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Oh, yeah, hunkered down but good. Jeff is concerned about the roof. He has now rigged up a rake on the end of a 20' support pole from a chain link fence to kinda rake snow off. He doesn't want a repeat of Monday's escapade of sliding off the roof onto the deck bending his ladder and a trellis. Thankfully nothing broken. He knew it wasn't gonna be good. It was only about an 8' fall, but who knows what he could have landed on. He broke his snow shovel too, so has been using an old shovel today.
Somebody told him he should have tied his cape on a little tighter if he was going to play Superman. ^_^

Great photos Victor! It hasn't stopped snowing and the wind has been awful. We had a snow day at work - hoping for another one tomorrow?

The snow is so heavy on the trees around my house. This is a shot from my back door. Poor things must be so cold.

LOL Elsie. Did they get lost?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Elsie. Yes - think they made a wrong turn!
