I've heard from a few others, but they haven't posted here yet. C'mon guys. Tell all your friends! We have lots of room under that pavilion!

Great!! I'll add your names to the list.
Ceejay....am I missing the time?
I must admit I have been lurking....
I will be moving sometime this spring or summer, so I may just come out for the company. Y'all are such a fun bunch it would be hard not to come. Depending on where we are in our move to the west side of Houston, I may have stuff to trade or I might just be giving stuff away.
-Tabitha
Hello everyone.. I have also been lurking and can't do that any longer... hehe
Carolyn... put me down on the list please!! I'll either have Lyle.. my dh, or a friend!! Thanks! Can't wait to be with old friends, and get to know new ones!!
Excellent!
Excellent indeed. Welcome! I've added you both to the list.
This is going to be my first RU, and I'm really looking forward to it. I think it''s going to be great fun!
At this time,....Annette,.............it is only fair that you be forewarned,,,,,,that there is a high probability that you WILL become ADDICTED!
No need to be too concerned about your welfare,.....there is a GREAT support group (whom you will soon meet).....which is more than adequately qualified,....to help you with your addiction. It usually starts rearing its dreadful head....near the end of the 1st RU.
You may gather your new "acquisitions" into a big group and resort to "talking to them"....slipping into a state of mental, emotional and spiritual glee and delight......your heartbeat may race...........just keep telling/reassuring yourself....you WILL survive....keep in touch with your new friends....and you will become a qualified member of our "Support Group" ....dealing with our addiction(s)
I felt that someone should, at least,....make you aware!
BTW - let me be the 1st to state: My name is Lee......and,....I am an addict......thank goodness!
Yes and it is a big club!
Ahhh... but it's a good club... and what a way to go!!!!
Welcome Annette... it's a great and beautiful addiction to have!!
It's unfortunate, but I have had this addiction for many years...when I was still working, there was a group of us that would visit the nurseries on a regular basis. We bought, and shared many plants, so, most of us had just what exactly the other had! We were always on the lookout for the "new", the unusual, and the "weird". Sometimes they were big "mistakes", other times they were big winners. But we all had a great time doing it. We were our own support group. We supported each other by telling them "Yeah! You go ahead and get that, then we will all get a piece of it NEXT year!". Now, that's what I call a support system!
Ahhh then you're a veteran! Great! Come on down!!!!! RU time!
What addiction???? Like going to a RU when you may not have a place to put all your plants and nursing them all along till the big moving day? Poor Gemma will have to move a bunch of plants if she wants to swim in her baby pool this spring. I already took over her sand/water table to pot up a little lemon grass to share.
Hey Tabitha.... or like Lyle said when I told him I was coming to the RU.... YOU don't NEED anymore plants DO YOU??? LOLOL.. wellllllll I said but I need to get rid of some, and there's always the ones I don't have that I need!!! Do like we did, before the lil swimming pools were even a thought... just squirt the hose at Gemma and she will giggle with delight, and then you won't have to move the plants. Gardeners are innovative...!!
LOL
ain't that right Lee??? hehe
Absolutely ....by crook or cranny.....crafty innovation!
OH innovation... I thought you were agreeing I "need" more plants.... we DO have to stick together..LOL
Errr,....right,....right.......we NEED more plants,.....I definitely agree!....I thought you were talkin' 'bout how innovative we can be when convincing our significant others (children included)....there are good REASONS...... for more plants....I thought you presented it rather well!
Have you surveyed the list of attendees? Gonna be a bigg ' n....the more the merrier! Woo Hoo!
Now we are on the same page Lee...LOL.. on both those aspects!! Hey... looking good.... I'll get to see my "old" friends, and meet lots of new ones as well!
Becky I am so glad Lyle is able to come, so I am assuming he is doing good. It will be good to see you too.:)
No.. Sylvia.... He's doing fairly well, I just don't know if he's going to come with me... I might bring my cousin that came with me to Arlington that time I went up there. BTW.. Lyle had the other knee replaced and also his hip since I was in Arlington! Bionic man!! LOL
Hail, hail, the gangs all here, well almost!! What a time we'll have in the 'ol town tonight!
I have a feeling this is gonna be BIG! I love big! I have a ton of trades and a ton of wants, but most of all I want lots of hugs. Any hug hungry folks can get a fix at one of our RU's.
Becky, now is the time if you have time to look for some possum haw holly trades. If you find one, put my name on it please and I'll bring you something great!
Charlene
awww Charlene... you want me to trudge the woods I see..LOL.I'll try to make that a priority.. I know we don't have any in the area what I call "close", so i'll check the back 40... well the back 22..LOL
Lee.. I wish I had done what you so sweetly shared with me what I needed to do in order to get the trees labeled so I could dig them in the spring...like now..lol.. I know there are gobs more paw paws out there.. just where is the problem... but if they start showing signs of leaves I'll try and dig some more for you. One day maybe we'll get some that live!!
Thank you, Ma'am! I would love one (or two)....wouldn't mind diggin' 'em for you.....for that matter!
Uh oh, did you say paw paws? Well John said pretty please could he have a paw paw?
Would you like some black berry bushes? I have three that I overwintered in the greenhouse.
Shoot Guys!!! you are making me jealous with all this hugging and trading!!!
I can't come to this one, the native plant society is having the sale the same day, and I have to be there, Oh Well!!!
I am hoping to be there. I lost a lot as I was sick and nothing got covered. All 25+ of my Plumeria and my epis are goners. :o(
But seeing everyone will be Great!!
Lee.. I do know the tap root is the most important part, and really in this sand it's not hard to dig. I'll just get as many as I can... IF they show their leaves for me. The ones I have in the yard are budding, so it shouldn't be long.
Of course Charlene... I'll get 1 for John too. No I don't need any more blackberry bushes, but Thanks!!! Lyle has enough of them and now he's into raspberries..LOL
awww Josephine!!! I was counting on you being here!!! I'll miss you!! Have fun at the sale!! I know that is your "baby"!!
I covered my epi, and it still died, Sandy. I hope you can come!
