Since time's a wasting, I checked with some other gulfcoasters, and after checking on available dates and finding only ONE, I have reserved a pavilion at The Woodlands Northshore Park for Saturday, April 10, and we are inviting everyone to come for a group hug, and bring plants, if you have any! The freeze did a number on us, and I'm not at all sure what I have to share, but hopefully the slightly later date will let us find out what still lives!
It really is a beautiful park, and an additional draw for the day is The Woodlands Waterway Art Festival on the 10th and 11th. There are always lots and lots of vendors set up along the waterway, with art in all its various forms, and jewelry too. It is well attended and I always go. It is open until 6:00 both days.
The park is on a lake, with a nice playground for children, covered pavilions, gazebo, walking path, ducks, and you can even fish. Boating is available too. No swimming though. There is a large grassy area for frisbee, volleyball courts, or whatever.

Ceejay - I'm in! Depending of course on the kids' sports schedules, haven't yet seen them. And I'm not sure whether I'll have any plants to bring - I've put out a bunch of seeds, will bring what I can! I'm excited to see an event planned nearby - I've never been to a DG event and was afraid this sort of thing might all go away! Thank you for organizing it!

You don't have to bring plants to come to an RU. Trading plants is just an excuse to get together and laugh a lot. :-)
Come whether you have plants or not. This year will be hard for many - maybe me too. I'm just waiting and seeing. We can still talk and eat and have a group hug!

Thanks, Marylyn. We always said we would travel when we could, so we'd better start. Our kids are in Southern CA and PA, so we need to do a few shorter road trips to get in shape.

Yea! Hopefully my DH and I will be there. We live in Sealy and weren't able to make the one in College Station, so we're looking forward to meeting everyone. I'm in the same boat as the rest of you - not sure yet what made it and what didn't. Guess I'll just have to wait and see!
