Hope your little guy is better soon Victor....hope you get that darn tree rat too!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

South Hamilton, MA

Best to your son. sore ears are no fun.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hope your son is feeling better soon and hope you catch the critter or critters.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Victor, I'm sorry to hear your little one is sick. Hope he feels better soon and you catch the squirrel too.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks on both. No luck yet in the trap.

Wow - Jobs and Apple are nuts. The new iPad looks cool, but the price is ludicrous! $500 for a 16 GB without a wireless connection, and $830 for a 64GB one with wireless. Have they heard about the recession???

Victor--What did you bait the trap with?
Hope your little one is feeling better!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Today would have been my mom's 84th b-day.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sorry, Jen. Must be a tough day.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

All of apples products are over priced - they still have a loyal following - kind of a counter culture deal

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Mostly true, but they are designed great.

Baited the trap with peanut butter.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow, just read that analysts were surprised at the 'low' price! It does do many things - more versatile than the Kindle.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

((((Jen))))

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Hugs to you Jen.

I'm one of those Apple converts, now a loyal follower. They're just so fun.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good to hear, Harp. I'm a shareholder! (Not too much. Wish I had more)

Victor, hope your son feels better soon, and good luck trapping the squirrel.

Jen, sorry you're feeling blue. My mother would have been 75 today. I miss her a lot.

LOL That was wicked cute Jen!!

I came across this story today and I loved it!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I got that one a few days ago, Jen. Pretty cool.

Funny, Celeste.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

they ran that on espn the other night celeste

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I guess I missed it on ESPN Bill, thought it was neat the coach made the shot and took the joke in stride! I really hope he gets those tickets!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm really surprised he made that shot he wasn't exactly centered in front of the net. I hope he gets the tickets, too.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i think the tickets were part of the joke - they never thought he would make it.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It was part of the joke but the response from people watching that video has been over whelming and someone has offered to donate them I think. Under the video it said this.....
"One student told USA Today that since this story has gained national attention there have been offers pouring in from people willing to donate Final Four tickets to Branstrom. Maybe his miracle shot won't be unrewarded after all."
Thats why im crossing my fingers for the coach. ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Leave the blindfold on him. Bring him to any crowded gym and tell him he did get it!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

I saw that on the news. They said the students were giving him a gift certificate to dinner somewhere.

Wow - from the 'Sometimes you just cannot win' file:

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Authorities say a woman who had been out celebrating her lottery winnings at a north-central Ohio bar was killed when she was struck by a car.

The Ohio Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Deborah McDonald of Crystal Rock had just left the bar near Sandusky on Tuesday night and was hit as she was walking along a road.

An Ohio Lottery spokeswoman says McDonald won $8,000 in the lottery's TV game show "Cash Explosion Double Play."

The show was taped Jan. 12 and is set to air at the end of the month.

Bar patrons say McDonald was with a group that had been celebrating her winnings and playing pool.

Patrol Sgt. Joe Wentworth says police are looking into whether alcohol was a factor, but they don't think the driver of the car was drinking.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

It was in the paper yesterday. That's by me. I haven't read today's yet.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Well just goes to show....

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

DH read that to me this morning. He's always telling me the curse of the lottery stories.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I'm baaaaaack. Did you miss me? ^_^ I am pleased to report that all is well on the northern front. NOW I have a very important question: Can you hose down the inside of the big thing of the middle of the garden or do you have to buy stuff to spritz/fling around? A dear DG member is visiting from MT next week and well...um....er the big thing in the middle of the garden is amuk. In the summer I just let 'er rip with the hose but in the time of the cold and the dark I'm afraid of freezyness :/

Signed the Dust Bunny

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Of course we did, dnut.

I have no idea

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

What big thing of the middle of the garden?????

Welcome back D-nut, missed ya.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)
