celeste when my email was hacked someone had changed some settings on how email was processed that i could see on my providers page under my set up.
if the person really knew you they would not be making the accusation imho.
Coffee Break #30 - Go Jets!!
Thanks for the info Bill, i'll look into it and thanks you for the compliment.
I was extremely upset at first, to the point of tears. I called my DD who cheered me up and teased me about it. She then called other DD who called up but Brian answered and they told him the story. I then had all three teasing me about my rotten PC skills.
The first thing this morning my daughter got on and messaged me "How many PC's have you hacked into this mornig? ROTFLMAO"
She thinks she's a comedian.^_^
I thought Avatar was a movie.
Yes, pixie, you fit the hacker profile perfectly..... NOT
Ha ha Jan, thats what i thought avatar was, so I was very confused at first!!
Uh oh - I hear a squirrel running around in my walls!!
Not sure what to do. I have a trap, but would rather he leave the way he got in, whatever that is. Any suggestions?
that is not good! major source of home fires.
do you know where it got in? usually they build a nest and have stored food. If you know where they get in i can tell you how to build a one-way exit using hardware cloth.
No. I knew they were getting into the attic and I thought I got that the other day. I'm assuming it's still up there. Did not see a nest while up there.
the nest would be in the walls - where/what is the entrance?
i had them chew through a wooden gutter.
I'm assuming still the attic. It seems to be in the space between the first and second floors. I hear it in the ceiling now.
i would take a walk outside and look for the entrance if you are not sure
hey and be careful not to step in any deer poop!

First priority is to get him out!
He know's the storm is coming......he's not leaving on his own accord. LOL
I thought of that. The storm is here. Raining very hard right now.
The cats are going nuts with the sound!
Oh the sound...I just came my senior Dane her meds to keep her calm, she hates storms!
wrong - if you do not know here the entrance is you can't get him out
once you find the entrance staple hardware cloth over it with a one way exit so it can not get back in - the tree rat will go out on its own and not be able to re-enter - the one way exit is made with hardware cloth as well - just cut it wide enough to made a 3 or 4" tube and with wire cutters weave a bit into the other side so it stays a tube - the tube should be about 18" long - at the end where you have stapled the hw cloth to the house make an opening the circumference of the tube and "stitch" it to the hardware cloth - at the end of the tube cut out the cross wires so there is 5 to 6" of wire pointing out lengthwise - the tree rats will be able to out and not back in.
good luck
I saw that on google, Bill. However, I believe the point of entry is the louvered vent in the attic. I don't have access to it to do all that.
After rain--I would get someone with equipment to close off the vent. Don't need electrical fires, especially with kids in the house.
I can close off the vent with thick plywood from the inside - after it's gone.
or you will trap it - need to give it a way out - there could be babies in there - and those tree rats get very aggressive trying to get to their babies - i know - call an exterminator to do it

That way you'll know where and what to close off.
Send the cats up there after him.
watch them go nuts!
it could be dinner time for the squirrels
Too dangerous! Squirrel wins that one. And there is always the possibility of rabies.
Do they do rabies shots for cats?
Yes they do.
They have gotten the shots, but why take a chance?
Oh yeah, I forgot they are indoor cats. Maybe you can borrow my brother's cat.
i just saw this in the boston globe - what do you think about this law?
http://www.boston.com/community/moms/blogs/moms_are_talking_about/2010/01/swish_spit_protest_the_new_mas.html
Unreal.
Personally I think it's pretty gross, as long as tooth hygiene is practiced as necessary at home I don't think it should have to be practiced at school or day care. Certainly shouldn't be a "law" in my eyes.
at least there is an opt out option - what next?
Can't say that law has no teeth!
ouch!
good one victor!
surprised jen did not dream about this :)
Hee hee!
Haven't heard my little friend for a while now. Claws are crossed!
