South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hey Candyce, it's so nice to see you posting again!!!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Thanks Celeste. I'm glad to be back. There goes all my 'free' time!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow, the weather thread is morphing into the dinner thread!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I know, guilty by accident. Saw what susan wrote and forgot what thread I was on so I posted too. :(

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No problem! Anything goes.

Triad(for a few more, NC(Zone 7a)

Ok, I joined Sparkle. I doubt it will help but I am a forever optimist.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Well its a toasty 24 degrees and on the way back down. There is good news though, anyone notice that its 5 pm and it is still light outside. We are moving in the right direction. Just think of those poor people in the southern hemi are going towards winter. So despite the cold and snow and wind we are making progress towards spring. Makes me soooo happy. ^_^

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

24 now.. high of 36

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

21 and clear. At least we're in February now!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it was 12 here this morning

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

First day of Feb. and tomorrow those fat furry little buggers will no doubt ruin my day. Today the sun is shining and the temp just got to 20 degrees. Wind is moderate at 5-10 mph from the west. If we can just get through Feb without any big storms, well I can dream can't I.

Triad(for a few more, NC(Zone 7a)

Feb 1st!!! Whohoooooooo! January is gone for another year, Thank God!

It's funny how since living in NC March 1st is Spring for us, when I lived in MA, whch I am moving back to this year, March is still considered Winter? I need to keep the NC frame of mind.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Only the first half of March here. Even if the weather doesn't match up we ignore it. Remember the old saying, in like a lion out like a lamb. Any of the white stuff will melt quickly in March, the sun is climbing, there are bulbs bursting up and some blooming. I think everyone figures if we can get Feb. out of the way we're good.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Beautiful day in Southern Vt. 28* sunny. DH is off to ski. The brook is running free, with that wonderful green ice frozen from the bottom up. Here is a shot, but still not a good one. Patti

MMMMM I need to get another cuppa joe and stare at this. Mesmerizing. Kind of like a roaring fire.

Triad(for a few more, NC(Zone 7a)

seems I caused a little straying on this thread, sorry for the corruption.

South Hamilton, MA

We all stray--goes with the territory.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Pretty winter scene Patti but I have to admit the best green comes with warm temps. Ours is way up to 26 now. Oh Joy, not.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Just checked the thermometer ... 26 degrees! We have sunshine!
All's right with my world - so far.

Great brook photo.

Triad(for a few more, NC(Zone 7a)

We are up to 43 here. Where are my seeds and hoe?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I am so jealous! Is the snow all melted, though?

South Hamilton, MA

34° & bright. Some more melting has started. stars around the trees & slowly spreads.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

30° and sunny. Still too dark in the am, but at least it stays light longer.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Up to a sunny 34. Snow is melting like gangbusters.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Susan don't worry about straying that what we're known for on the NE forum.

Lovely pic Patti

Cold but a nice sunny day, so I don't mind it. It actually hit 35 the low was 22

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Susan - I once started a thread where the idea was to stray, so don't worry!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not surprised at that little rodent. The one on Staten Island didn't.

22 and mostly sunny. Some snow tonight and tomorrow morning.

I'll start a new thread soon.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Temp is 19 with very light NW wind. High should be around freezing. Chance of a dusting of snow overnight.
I am still waiting to hear from the local rodent Ms.G what her prediction on an early spring will be later this morning. I hope it is better that rodent from PA.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Low of 24*F last night, still overcast here. Ric
