Can you believe I caught a game puck, sitting right next to the glass?!! Impossible angle. Funnier still, I was not even looking for it. I was taking video by holding the small camera on top of the boards. The puck landed in my hand and knocked the camera down!
My foolish, still playing hockey 3 times a week, DH is impressed. Hope the kids where impressed and that the camera is OK. Patti

We are starting out a bit better than yesterday at 10 degrees now. The wind is pretty brisk and variable from the north. Sun is rising in the sky and should be in full force today.
I just heard on the news that the winter olympics in Vancouver is having to import snow because it has been unusually warm there, nutty weather.

We are still in a flood warning.....the ice jam is stuck under a bridge. All 3 Coast Guard cutters and the one from Conn. are all to big to get under the bridge and break it up. With these frigid tempertures, the jam is frozen solid and not moving.

I am making an apple pie today! I started a vegetarian diet on December 26th, trying to lose weight and work with my metabolism. I love meat but as I get older it does not love me. Took me about 3 years to figure it out, so far I am handling the new diet pretty well, then I found out my cholesterol is high so doing the fruit veggie, whole grain, high fibre thing. I feel sort of sluggish from lack of protein but am trying to work on that end of it. Have also cut out breads, which is also killer for me since I am Italian and it is in our DNA!

In the crockpot since 10 am is a hearty beef stew, Sherrie and I are on the same wave length today!
In the oven about to come out actually are some seasoned cornish hens, spiced sweet potaoes, steamed baby spinach, russet baked potatoes, yeast rolls and apple turnovers for dessert.
set me a place pixie, I'll be right there.
