Love that baby!

dellrose - sharp pic of the Northern Mockingbird. The contrast is really good. Your 40D is cooking.

adelbertcat - My Dark-eyed Junco seem to enjoy the rain, too. Your Pentax K100D did a good job of capturing it.

reddirtretiree - I liked the mature swan. That Nikon Coolpix P80 caught it just right.

nanny_56 - White-breasted Nuthatch getting its peanut! so, you're getting you new new camera tomorrow - congrats - I can tell you're excited. I see that you used the Fuji FinePix S8000fd to snap the Nuthatch, is that the one you had repaired?

claudcat - I'm sorry to read of your trouble on the board. But, I'll say one thing, your Chickadee's are really colorful - really pretty.

MargaretK - Speaking of gorgeous birds, that Rainbow Bee-eaters is ...WOW. And your 40D captured it perfectly. I saw one on another web site (though I didn't know its ID at the time) where the poster was trying to ID an insect in its mouth.

Thanks Hack!!!!!!!! :)

Sandusky, OH

Nice shots everyone! First full day of sun in quite a while. Starlings have been cleaning out the tray feeder and the suet feeder's for the last couple of days.

They work the suet log when there's no room on the tray feeder.

This guy has been here for a couple of week's. He sleep's with the House Sparrow's in the shrub's and is a lone wolf, he does not leave with any of the other Cowbird's which show up daily and is the last bird at the feeder before dark.

CC, Adorable Chickadee!

Margaret, Amazing shots of those incredibly beautiful birds!

Burd, I'm having loads of Starlings here too.

Great pics all! Margaret, am always amazed at the beautiful birds you have there. You don't need any Painted Buntings....you have lots' of colorful birds!

South Hamilton, MA

Beautiful honey eaters Margaret.

Burd Fotos--chickadees are our most common winter birds. They snatch & fly at seeds, rather than hanging on to the feeder like the titmice.

Yup...It is still a good camera. The Fuji can do a lot and is simple to use. I want to keep it for my GD's to use when they are here. They both have shown an interest in photogrphy. And it give DH and me both a camera to use if the situation arises.

Red, the swans are just beautiful. Does that band look too tight? I really like that second shot where the bird barely peaks over the wing at you.

Nanny, cute nuthatch. Congrats on getting the camera today.

Claudcat, I didn't realize you were seeing the Chestnut-backed Chickadees! That coloring on the back is beautiful.

Margaret, your birds, cormorant and pelican photos are just spectacular.

Burd, cute starlings. That action one is great. I feel sorry for that little cowbird. He looks lonely. Great capture of the black-capped.

This female Brewers Blackbird was looking for an opening on the peanut butter log.

We were sitting at the table inside the house when this Spotted Towhee flew to the suet. He didn't seem to mind us watching him eat.

The California Towhees just like to sit and watch whats going on down in the garden.

This Oak Titmouse was about to fly up to the feeder when I caught it.
