Hack, unfortunately I ordered the wireless first but, it was cheap and I'll find uses for it. I also picked up a Tamron 1.4 teleconverter. Does not work with my current lenses but I got it for a prime lens which is I hope is in the near future.
Daily Pics Vol. 277
PC, That is one gorgeous Owl. Great pic!
Nanny, Sweet Cardinal!
Burn, Love the Hairy and Downy!
Hack, Nice shots!
Burd, I like the Nuthatch and Sharp-shinned!
Burn, haven't seen any finches close up in my roaming grounds to date.
Hackster, yes you're correct it is a Barred Owl
Btw nice pics all of you.
I loved all the pix, but especially the downy and hairy woodpeckers. I have been watching a couple of downys recently that seemed so big I thought they were hairys, but they have the short bills. They don't seem to be attracted to suet cakes, but love black oil sunflower seeds. It is fun to watch them use a crack in the support post for the feeder as a vise to hold the seeds to crack them. I shall try to get a picture of that operation.
PC...Great catch with the owl!!
Busy again Hack...nice ones!
Nice one of the hawk Burd. I was just thinking awhile back that I haven't seen a Sharp-shinned in for a long time. Gray, rainy and icy here today.
With just my one camera it was easy to plug it in and load right from the camera and never be touching the card. But I decided with 2 cameras it would easier to just use a card reader. Plus I hope to eventually get one of those small cameras to carry in my purse at all times.....can you say addiction!! lol
Red-bellied Woodpecker got his peanut!
Haven't bee on the board much lately, a lot of catching up to do. Great BB pics, dellrose. Bluebirds always make you happy!
I've had 3 around the house I put up last Aug. Recently it is down to a pair and in the past few warm days, they are spending a lot of time in the house. Hopefully they will nest there this spring.
Great photos everyone. I am surely enjoying all of them. Even tho our weather is warmer than normal there are no new early spring arrivals. It is rainy again this morning. Our mornings have been rainy but afternoons are usually sunny. My chicken and guinea flock are running around in the mud trying to find something green to eat.
Donna
Resin, your swans are so pretty.
Nanny, your cardinals are beautiful. I just love that orange bill. Loved your red-bellied.
PC, I think I'd fall over if I ever saw an owl sitting as pretty as this one. What a gorgeous bird.
Burn, your little chickadee is such a pretty bird. Loved seeing your wps and dove too.
Hack, you really have a nice assortment of birds to enjoy. Nature really has colored the doves correctly. They blend right in with the leaves on the ground.
Burd, great captures on all your birds. That House Sparrow really looks pretty and bright. I feel bad for the starling.
Red, great shots of the BB and finch.
Ruth, your guineas are adorable.
We had about 5 minutes of sun for this Anna's Hummingbird to enjoy.
You all have been busy beavers...some wonderful shots here, thanks to you all for taking the time to brighten my day!
Duc...that Junco begging for peanut butter cracked me up...looks just like Andy Rooney with those eyebrows!
We had some sun yesterday so I was able to get a few shots that were not through the window. Here are a few of Mr. Blue...
Where did you spot the Bewick's swan Resin? I've never seen one.
nanny_56 - Sweet pic of the Red-bellied Woodpecker with his peanut.
I really like my card reader. Its the second one I've owned. The first one was good, but it would only read one size of card, the little SD card. When I got the 40D, I discovered it used those bigger CF cards. The card reader I have now accepts a number of cards. It has performed flawlessly.
For folks who may be interested, see the pic below of mine. The reader is made by Kingston, and is still at Amazon for 13.99 (with free shipping).

I didn't mean this to be a ad for Kingston, but when I first went looking for a new card reader, I wish I had known about the Kingston one. Oh, and look at all the 5-star comments, as well as the customer images. That's what convinced me to give it a try. As of right now, I am very pleased with its perfomance.

I picked up a cheap card reader (10 bucks) that also accepts four slots. It's made by digital concepts. I'm sure they are all over the place.
Nanny, Nice one of Mr. Red-bellied!
Red, Nice pics of your Bluebirds!
Donna, The Guineas are so cute at the door!
Duc, Love your hummers and Junco's!
Rose, Your Blues are looking good and the Goldfinch and Mockingbird are so sweet!
Adel, Handsome Junco!
Rose, those bluebirds, the goldfinch and the mocker are gorgeous! Nice work!
Adel, love your junco too. Glad you had a break in the rain. We haven't seen the sun since yesterday.
Went by the local lake that has had 8 Trumpeter Swans on it for a couple of weeks to see if they are still there. They are and I got some pics. Didn't realize until I was home and editing pics that one has a metal leg band. Took a bottoms-up shot of a feeding bird and the band is clearly visible.
One of the mature swans.
A headless, Halloween swan!
I'm having a little trouble on the board. When I click on a pic to see it up close my computer freezes. So, with all
that said ALL of YOUR pics are beautiful....so many different birds.
Duc, I'm sorry you're sick of the rain.:-( I love it!!!! :-))....with that said I'm going to try to post some pics of a chickadee I took between the rain. This is the way I'm sending them to you. LOL
DUMMY ME!!!!!! I meant nuthatch "roll eyes"...lol
Hack, Thank you about the previous photos...way back...Yes, they really like suet???....as you can see on the ones I just posted. :-)

Gorgeous birds. I'd like to comment on each individually, but it would take too long.
I thought I'd tear myself away from ospreys for a day and go to another couple of areas close by.
The Rainbow Bee-eaters are still around and as beautiful as ever. When they start migrating to the north of the state and to Indonesia, you know summer is on its way out for another few months. I'm always glad to see them go for this reason alone.
