adelbertcat - Those are some good looking gobblers!

claudcat - some many great pics. But the one that got my attention was the one showing the Chickadee on the suet feeder. I have lots of Carolina Chickadees and lots of suet feeders, containing a variety of suet. But I have never seen a Chickadee on one of the suet feeders.

hel - you asked adelbertcat if we ate our wild turkeys. I do - when I am fortunate enough to get one. They are difficult to get the drop on.

gardenpom - I liked all your photos - great captures. You said that your Mockingbird adores the hanging birdbath. I doesn't look too large to me. How often do you have to re-fill it during the summer?

I just bought the hanging bath in the last two weeks, and try to clean and fill it daily, even now , in the winter. It is on the small side...I mainly got it for the Painted Buntings, so they would feel safe and secure using a bath close to shrubbery. It has a small ceramic frog in the bottom.

Sandusky, OH

Wonderful pictures everyone!! Wish I could add to the thread but its been cloudy for days and low light, plus I wasn't feeling that great for a few days. Vacation is over and back to work now, will try to contribute when the weather cooperates, whenever that is. lol

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

A great selection of photos.

adelbertcat, Good looking group of gobblers. It is raining here this morning and I forgot to close the chicken yard gate so I guess they and the guineas will be out running around in the rainy mud. So no pictures today. Yesterday in the little sunshine we had i went for a short drive, forgot to take my camera and of course saw 3 Bald Eagles.

Great pics GP!!

Wow they have some claws hel!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

CC, your birds are cute. Good one of the dove and that House Finch looks pretty. I haven't seen a chickadee here that I recall so could you send one of yours north please. Glad you saw the red wing! Last year was my first time for seeing them at my house, although we see them everywhere else. We're over 8 inches on the rain gauge now which is wonderful for our lake and trees. Keep dry!

Hel, your turkey looks more meaty too! Love the ruffle around the neck, but those talons look pretty deadly.

GP, beautiful photo of the mocker. Love that wp, she looks so sweet. Glad you're seeing the osprey. Thought I saw one here the other day, but it's a little early for them. Love your hanging bath!

I think my birds are starting to get more used to the rain coming down. This White crowned Sparrow just wanted to get some nuts.

I'm trying to get one action shot a day and this was my best even though it's still blurry. The birds are so fast that they don't give me a chance to set up for the flight.

PC, that is special, what a beauty!!! Have you seen any Redpolls or Grosbeaks this winter?
I would like to say thanks, to everyone who post. So many great shots and interesting comments.
Black-capped Chickadee are very chatty, when I go out to fill the feeders, or change the water. They always have to go investigate, what I put in their feeders.

Resin - That Bewick's Swan is a pretty bird.

nanny_56 - Nice Cardinals. All I ever use is a card reader.

PanamonCreel - Let me try to ID it, is that a Barred Owl?

Hey, burn_2007 - Looks like your Mourning Dove was in a fight.

I went sat on the porch for a little while and snapped a few pics.

Nice shots all!! The sun peaked out for about 5 seconds today, but my remote for my camera arrived and took a few shots. Overall with the remote I got a better percentage of keeper shots.
