This was the coolest idea, Jeanne! I say this even as I am typing with my TOES because my hand is permanently cramped! I reformatted the computer today, so while it was churning away, I wrote out all my postcards. Whew! I hope you carry worker's comp, Jeanne, because carpel tunnel syndrome is a definite possibility here. ;o)

I've been lagging 'cause of all the lay-off turmoil at work - but it's Saturday, woo-hoo!, and I'm still employed - yippee! -- so I'll be sending out post cards today.

Same for me Ginger...I've been picking up a few here, a few there...then I find out the PO will be closed Monday. Oh well...that will give me plenty of time to write on them! (Hope these flimsy little cards will make it all the way to UK and Australia!...wondering if I should put them in an envelope! And then mark it "do not disturb")

Don't worry about sending them on tuesday- that's when I'm sending mine!!! I forgot about the post office being closed on Monday!!! no, Caroline- it's not too late- email me with your address and I'll send it to eveyone else and send you the master list!!!

I got my postage: 21cents for inside USA, 50 cents for Canada & Mexico (none in Mexico?), 70 cents for the rest of the world. Jo

RR I saw your post here and changed it anyway I am sure lots of others did too. This is great fun I am sending mine out Tues.

I think all got the Raven instead of Haven- but I will send out a corrected versiion if I need to add others on! Thanks for your patience Roadrunner! I got mine all addressed and ready to go tonight! Great fun! Had fun picking out what cards I wanted to send to whom!!! A cheap way to "see the world", that's fur sure!!

Got my list the other day - went out and found postcards and have them all addressed and noted and [profanity removed] post office is closed today UGH!!!!!!!!!!

Will get in the mail early tomorrow - :-)

I am sending mine in separate lots....

so you will get them a few weeks apart...

easier to manage that way..

WARNING: When you get my post cards, you will see how shaky my hands were. Just a wee tremor in the hands...not from too many coldies at the BBQ LOL I tried to be like my Aunt...she was notorious in our family. Sent lots of post cards and wrote ALL around on them..and somewhre in it she would say "C"(underlined twice) for SEE. Lovely lady, though. Jo

I just noticed that my address is slightly incorrect as well. THAT JSS!!!!!!!! She stutters when she types. haha

In our street address it should read 708 N. Washington St.
NOT 708 A Washington St.

It SHOULD be o.k. There is only N. Washington and S. Washington, and believe it or not, the mail carriers are pretty smart. I hope so.

Got my first postcard today ...... yipeeeeeeee this is so much fun. Thanks GW its beautiful.

Mine go out tomorrow...if I can find anyone going to the mail box. I lucked up today...was 4 cards short and we had to go to Tucson today. I was in the back seat so was cleaning out a "hidey hole" and there were 3 post cards I had bought on a trip to the Painted Desert this summer! Stopped for gas, and bought a few more. I noticed a lot of people posted that they wanted in but must have not sent JSS an email. Kendra Sue, I got your correction in time. Jo

I was so excited - got my first postcard Tuesday from Kimberly in Ohio - I think I'm going to get a bulletin board for my computer room and post them on the wall. Can't wait for the mail man today. :-)

Man I gotta get off this computer...I'm still sittin here in my jammies!! Can't wait to go to the post office. I hope my cards make it okay...instead of buying,I printed them up on the 'puter...a picture I took a few years back. If anyone's got wet and the ink ran let me know and I'll either post the pic here or e-mail it as necessary.

I got my first card yesterday. Hooray!!! I appologize for taking so long to get my cards out, I am hoping to send them today. Don't be upset, I do the best I can with 4 boys, 2 of which are 15 months and 3 months and a husband who is laid up with a bad back waiting for surgery. Anybody wanna trade lives for a day???? haha. Actually, I wouldn't trade mine for the world. Look for my cards to go out by the end of the week.

sorry i took so long to get mine out, but they went this afternoon. it's so hard getting postcards this time of year! here in the UK it seems to be more a summer hols thing, but i managed to get some great cards with some pics of Durham, the castle and the river Wear. hope you all enjoy them, i spent ages choosing the best ones!

Now your talkin' (reading my mail) One of my many sidelines is collecting postcards. none probably of much value.but I like going through them,daydreaming and wishing I could go there. My brother is a truckdriver and he brings me a lot of cards. I got 3 more today!! and two were from Mystic, she cheated!!! But I love it! And the other from Libby Liz! Thank ya'll, it couldn't have come at a more welcome time! By the way, I got two yesterday also!!! One from GW and one from JSS! This is so cool!!! Hope ya'll hang on while I get mine in the mail!

My out of town job lasted longer than I had planned, but I am finally home and I found three postcards in the mail today! So many of our friends either call or email that I had forgotten the thrill of receiving a postcard! I'm heading to the post office tomorrow to pick up the stamps and I plan to have everyone's postcard sent out by Monday's mail. JSS thanks so much for thinking of this wonderful idea!

Yey!!! And speaking of PIE!!!....I got a card from Juja!...and it was of a Pecan pie recipe!!! Mercy me! I 'member when I used to hitchhike this great country...sometimes I'd get so lonesome. When that happened I'd find me a little cafe, or better yet one of them trailer-type diners, and order me a slice of pecan pie w/ice cream on top! And now, here it is...my first piece of pecan pie in my hands in yrs, and delivered to my door!! (Course now, don't freak out folks, if they didn't have pecan pie at them diners apple pie was always in abundance!) Thanks Judy!
