I think everybody knows this but me...

You know, i have paid groomers extra $ to trim paws and they never do! Mostly I've given up and bathe them myself. Since they run around all day, nails are not too bad, except for the mini dox. His can get long!

Sounds like a great idea to get a professional trim and then use pedipaws for maintenance.

Luckily I walk our dog 4 times a day on asphalt so that keeps his under control!

Pedipaws/ rotary type did not work on our dogs big ol German Shep claws, now granted they were quite long. Possibly if we did as themoonhowl said and just used it for minimal maintenance we'd have been happy, but there seemed no way it was taking off any amount of these thick claws.

Sally, when we looked on line, they had two models...small dog and large dog....either of them only work for maintaining....Benny the beagle is blind, so he doesn't wear his nails down like the other two dogs ....I thought about something like that emeryCat thing for him....he likes to dig...maybe could get one that has a hidden treat compartment...he would dig against the emery to get the treat...of course as stubborn as he is, he'd probably do damage to himself....and the emery...

Any one tried the swiffer Sweeper G2? They really make that thing look great. Its a new and improved version. Friend has old one and says battery doesn't hold up.
