I think the Olympics will help the winter go faster than usual.

Wishful thinking photo.

Halfway through January? What kind of title is that? Where is the zing? the zip? the joy? Might as well be called 'O Ya We're Boring but still Talkin'" Luvly pic though! I think wha should go back to starting threads: 'Half Way through Jamuary' would be interesting (tee, hee)

Nice photo, so wish I was there.........

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Nice, looks like Mexico on the west side.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I got too much flak over the last one. ^_^

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It looks warm. ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I worked on the West side. Didn't look like Mexico.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

What did you expect, 'ya took a subway to get there! (lol!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee. The subway was always interesting. One time the line I took was shut down. They were looking for the head of a guy who was 'subway surfing', where you lay down on top of the car. Didd't duck sufficiently. KawaBUNGA!!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Subways got horrible when people started wearing backpacks, as if it hadn't been bad enough already!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ever see video of the Tokyo subways? They actually have employees shoving people into the trains!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

We get that here, but they're not employees. (lol!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ha ha. But I want this job!

Don't you just love how patient and organized the waiting passengers are?!! There would be a riot in NYC!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Stuffing them in like sardines, huh?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Sadly tonight was Calgary's first death by CTrain for 2010. Again a pedestrian thought they could beat the train. I feel so sorry for the driver. There is absolutely nothing they can do. The CTrains travels fast so it is only a short wait til they pass. Why do people take such a risk trying to beat it? Sorry for the sad news but this is SO avoidable it really upsets me. There that was my safety moment for those who live with rapid transit.

On to happier thoughts: Victor it is just way too much fun bugging you about thread titles in the time of the cold and the dark ^_^ Maybe we could suggest titles. My vote for the next thread is: 'Time of the Snirt' cuz its gotta be getting snirtish in the NE.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think the next title should be, 'Vancouver - so where's the $%$#$#!!$# Snow!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I LIKE it! Apparently they're 'stockpiling' snow in higher climes and will 'ship' it down' if needed. I'm eagerly awaiting to learn more about that theory. Sounds alot like the 'shipping' icebergs to CA for fresh water theory.

NBC say aid is coming into Haiti, but there is no way to move it out of the airport. They better move in tracks & gas with the big cargo planes if the runways are long enough.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Maybe they can just make a bunch of snow balls and roll them down the mountain

My eye is moving to this thread.

Went to Drs. yesterday. New Eye! The pressure in the eye went from 41 down to 10. Yes that much. The Dr. cant belive it went down that much in 2 days. Now I know why he was so concerned.

If you can remember the 1st Dr. I went to back in June said " You scratched your eye, and it will never heal". So they treated me in the ER for an infected eye cause of the scratch.

Yesterday I asked the new Dr. about the scratch and he said " There is no scratch on your eye and if there was, it healed. There is no signs of a scratch ever being there".

So now he changed one of the drops as something is aggrevating my eye a bit. Put me on an eye steriod and I go back in 1 week. If there is any problems I am to call his office as he told me DONT go to the ER. Dr.s there are not capable of taking care of my eye. Eye drs. are far and few where I live. Remember they have absolutley no records of my eye to look back on and compare.

Eye pressures are acceptable between 10-20. With the pressure at 41 - I can see why. I was such a miserable unspayed female dog ( U know a B!^*+) In the ER and the Dr.s office and cant remember 1/2 of what they said. My teeth were just about to show and I was going to rip them all apart.

Glad your feeling better Sherrie, can't say i blame you for being a Bi**h. I am one most days without the eye problem. ^_^

The real point I guess is - The 1st Dr. I went to in June was not a MD. Buy rights he should of shipped me off to a real eye DR. I have put up with this problem for months!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

glad the eye feels better sherrie!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

glad you are feeling better Sherrie!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

mine too.. can see that smile of yours

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Love the western vest on the one kid, and the bow tie on the other!

Sorry - the one with the GAY pink sparkley cats eye glasses. Why I had them I will never know. That is the last time I went to an eye Dr up until now. The year was 1965.

People dont wait like I did to get into this mess wether you have insurance or not. Go get your eyes check no matter what. If you have to be put on a payment plan or whatever.

would have never guessed.. you look so girly girl

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Well I guess we were off!

Does anyone else see a re-occurring theme in the bangs of the girls? looks like a few did their own trim jobs. How would I reconigize this trait???
If you could ask my Mother she would tell you in half english, half french how. lol
I took hair that was down to my butt and decided I needed bangs 2 weeks before a wedding I was in as a flower girl. Mine had that same resemblance. ^_^

I had those crooked bangs at my oldest bros wedding, so embarrassing.

I woke up in the middle of the night with a massive migraine, why does that happen?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have a few photos like that myself.. either I or my mother cutting them
