Celtics won tonight, all I care about.

Anyone here think this is a provocative pose?
In what way??^_^
And look at the boot brand name!
lol
People just always have to find something to complain about.
It's nowhere near as offensive as their swimsuit issue (I'm still trying to figure out exactly what sport that is). That's nothing but soft-core porn, IMO. At least she's fully clothed, and it IS a skiing stance. Actually, at second look, it looks a little weird - like they shot it on a flat surface and then tilted the photo, lol!
On third look, I think they DID tilt the photo! Look at her hair. It's not falling like it should in that pose. I'm getting a crick in my neck looking at this, lol - tilted head and whatnot!
yeah if she was really on a hill she wouldn't look like that
I like the boots
Oh yes - obviously a studio shot.
Dee, the swimsuit issue is not a sport, but it no doubt encourages some physical activity. ^_^
that is funny
we rode bobsleds on wheels in Lake Placid one summer, a little scary
I would love to try it.
They had 2 drivers, one in front then me, then I'm not sure if it was DH or the other driver behind me. I didn't want to be second but they made us sit where we did for weight reasons
Cool. Any idea how fast you went?
too fast?
I don't know
Ha ha. Thought they might have told you.
It was quite a few years ago, I just googled it and found rides but no speed mentioned
just found an article and it said 60mph
LOL, Victor! To be honest, I started to say above that I was getting a stiff neck from looking at the photo, but changed it because I was afraid of what you might respond with! :)
I was surprised when I received my SI this week. The swimsuit issue is very soft porn featuring models. I think this is worse in a way because she is a world class athlete.
give me a break! - it is just a photograph of her in a skiing pose
Yeah, really. Are there 'worse' photos inside?
VICTOR!!
that is a married women their victor - with a lucky hubby
just checked the inside - a real ski shot (she better get a mouth piece or she will bite her tougue) and a couple of her working out off season, closing with a shot of her and that lucky hubby.
This is crazy! Way to much pressure to put on this kid at that age.
http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/offbeat/100205-Next-Tiger-USC-Recruits-13-Year-Old
Way too much pressure put on 17 & 18 year olds with all that ranking ESPN does now for all the major sports-----am excited about the winter Olympics, like them better than summer, keeping my fingers crossed for my Husky girls, & cannot watch anymore Husky men games if I don't want to end up with a stroke. Was hoping the Mets would come out of the winter trades with more, but if there aren't any catastrophic injuries like last year, maybe they'll be OK.
I'm disgusted with the Mets front office. The GM needs to go.
the team colors too! UGGGGGGGGGGGGGly
I like them! Blue and orange look good together.
there is no explaining taste:)
Way too much pressure for a 13yr old and committing to a school that early is CRAZY.
I don't even like the Little League national tournament for 12 yr olds. wait until they are older for that sort of thing. Although the MA team seemed to have fun last yr without winning a game. Commit really means nothing; he just wanted to go to that school. I would think with that sort of thing the coach will be long gone by the time he gets there. Hope so! He doesn't sound like a person who I would like a kid of mine to play for.
Of course there also the extreme. In some areas they don't keep score because they don't want a team to be labelled the losing team.
Which I think is just as crazy.
Yes, people have to learn to lose games, checkers or baseball. They do have the rule when too many runs, the game is over.
I agree on both counts. The 'touchy-feely', everybody wins approach does nothing to prepare kids for reality. This is even more important with academics.
Back to Lindsey Vonn - the boston globe ran an article about the SI cover verse the Ski Magazine (action shot) cover with user comments - http://www.boston.com/travel/explorene/specials/ski/blog/2010/02/a_tale_of_two_v.html
I was afraid to read the comments after seeing a few here - and after review of said comments 99% still agree that folks should (you heard it here first) - get a grip:)
Well, I gotta say after seeing the two covers, I definitely prefer the action photo. She's an athlete. Let's see her in action!
Much ado about nothing. There are so many slutty shots of celebrities on far too many magazines and websites that are worth complaining about.
i like them both - SI has an action shot to start their article - good to see her get some press - our greatest women skier and with no more "wild world of sports" most folks do not know much about her - hope she does well
This is probably my only time on this thread but I didnt know where else to put this site.
For you hikers:This was sent to me by a HS friend. Ithaca is a great place for gorges.

Gorgeous ge!
If you teach kids that they have to lose, they grow up to be Mets fans.:^)
