Found this Cedar Waxwing earlier in the month.
DAILY PICS VOL. 274
Beautiful pics duc!
Great pics Rose! It's always nice to have those ones showing the size difference between the two woodpeckers.
It was such a pleasure to look at your wonderful bird photos. Of the many listed I only have lots, 2 or 3 dozen goldfinches. more than that many E Sparrows, 2 Song Sparrows, and many house finches. More than a 100 Quail. they are pretty hungry now with icy snow covering most everything. The severe freeze we got mid-Oct, froze a.most all the fruits on the shrubs and trees, and they have mostly fallen off.
I grow 10 Prairie Fire Malus in an Allee, and on most years about this time there would be lots of crab fruits, but all are on the ground and shrunken now.
Cedar Waxwings would be eating if there were any there. I did see a very few Waxwings in the Indian Magic Crab, which must be hardier of something and it still has lots fruits.
Thanks again for all the photos you all for taking them and sending along.
I rained fairly hard most of the morning, and low clouds. I had hoped to go out looking for Eagles, but my personal lane is such a mess that I think I will not try to drive over it.
