I only unloaded the bottom of my dishwasher because I am watching Hoarders. Next commercial I will do the top. I heard Kitty in the kitchen so I took a peek. She was drinking the little bit of water in the bottom of the dishwasher!!! She always tries to drink from my glass of water on my desk. And yes, she does have her own bowl of water. She really would prefer drinking from a puddle or the lake but of course everything is frozen.

The more I watch Hoarders I think about all the things that I have that I don't use. No reason to save them. I need to take some of the advice they give. Things I haven't used in 7-8 years should go.

Boy do I hear you, Venice. That show is kinda scary.....hard to imagine the thought processes of a hoarder. Got a big bag and box for GW....more to come hopefully.

Well better save the good stuff girls, how many times do we say " I use to have one of those and look what its worth now".

Why save something even if it is worth something if I don't use it?

For kids future Venice, the way its lookin they are all gonna be poor lol

FYI Flowers ~ on your full sized keyboard, hold down the ALT button and press 13 (or 14) on the number pad on the right. Alt 13 gives you this: ♪ Alt 14 gives you this: ♫
It doesn't work if you use the numbers on the top of the keyboard, just the ones on the right. I don't think you can do it on a laptop.

hey JJ you got a studfinder I can borrow? *grin* I will tap lightly and carry a big hammer ....the room is set up in a way that the bedroom door, the bathroom door AND the door of the closet in the bathroom all open onto each other & hit each other, so I have to open and close every door to get into the bathroom closet. And then the bathroom cabinet door is right in there too. So I'm taking out the bathroom closet and it will be the bathroom door, through my closet, which will be like a dressing room. I hope LOL

Stud finder never works I use a nail and a hammer and a gallon of spakle...lol

I'm thinking of a pocket door. I also need more light in that room, it's always dark and there's no overhead light, so I'd like to get one wired up there. Sure you can have my closet...you wouldn't want the door, though, it's a cheap hollow core piece of junk that I'll be happy to toss at the dump.

Wow. I could just go down their list and say One of those, and one of those and.... I do love viburnums.


JJ, a general way of finding a stud is to work on the idea that they are 16 inches apart on center. If you start from a corner, you should only have to tap a couple small holes to locate the stud. Your house, being as old as it is may have more distance, but the standard is 16 inches.

our builder was a hack we just don't know WHAT we're gonna find! look at my doors!

Silly man here had the walls out and said" now show me wher you are going to hang things so I can put a board between the studs so you will hit something", like I know with no furniture and no walls where I'm going to hang something.

Morning ladies, LOL Lynnie, you do have some doors going on. I would wet my pants trying to figure out which one lead to the bathroom lol. JJ your funny..... Draw him a picture of what you want the room to look like and tell him you want studs every 6 inches so that way you will have ample hanging space. Think mine are 12 ft apart and keep knocking holes in sheetrock :-) What is a pocket door? A door for animals to come in and out, or better yet one to watch DH crawl through when you lock him out lol. Bring those pics. on Love it! Joy the beaded part of the valance is a southeastern thing and at end of each bead is a symbol of some sort wishing good luck, well wishes, prosperity or something. Thought it was cool. Behind the chair where plant is sitting was empty space, so had window seat for plants made out of left over oak flooring. I've got some talented neighbors.

This is it closed.
I know the door needs stained. They discontinued the stain on the woodwork so looking for one to match.
Other problem woodwork is oak and really old....door is new and pine.
Off to work ...later

So thats what it is, Thanks JJ, maybe you will find a stain that closely matches. I use cedar stain on my porches that are salt treated pine. The more coats the darker it gets.

The inventory is done. Cuss words were flying, you'd have thought I was a truck driver. Us girls put them to shame, anyways. Some part of the program is locked up, I can't close the period, but that's a minor issue. Left tech guy as message, he'll call after lunch.

Had DD's leftover fettucini alfredo leftovers for lunch (she goes to restaurants more than I do..) and I have a choco donut so it's a good day.

Hi Smiley! I'm having a quick bite to eat, went to school. to the gym and to dry cleaners. Having a little pasta with roasted red peperrs & ricotta cheese. Then I'll have about an hour to clean something...oh yeah still gotta shower....

You must be tingling with excitement, Lynnie. Doesn't look like fun in there the way it is. A dressing room would be a kick ~ I can't imagine!

My bathroom is teeny, and there's a small closet outside the door in the hall. Helpful hint for linen closet: Roll your towels instead of folding them. Fold in half one way, then in half the other way, then roll it up & stack them on the shelf. Double the room. We were trying to shove towels in our small closet and I read that (won't tell you where..) So we took them all out & rolled them up, not only did we have enough room, we had extra room for more.

oooh great idea Smiley! Was that one of Flower's helpful hints and homemade remedies? *grin* I sure get tired of straightening out my hall linen closet after they get done rummaging through it!
my closet is 6X8 I think...I measured it 2, 3 years ago when I first wanted to start this project. Bathroom is 5X8 I believe. Inside the bathroom,the shower on the left, the closet door in the middle, the door between bedroom & bathroom.

Is this upstairs? Where are the water pipes?

the pipes, unfortunately, are in the wall between the closet and the shower, that little bit of wall you see. So those are staying lol I'll leave the sink & toilet & shower where they are, and just work around them.

Seedtosser, hope your DH gets along fine with his knee.
