Thanks Victor, really like the blue. LOL
What Have You Ordered 2010
How pretty!!!
Do you get another for ACTUALLY turning 50?!! Hee hee.
No.... I asked for an antique diamond w/saphires and for my Mother's diamond ring to be fixed and sized. This is the antique one, so now just the other one fixed. The other one has a great deal of history to it. It was my Mothers wedding band, with 16 diamond chips in it, her diamond, her Mother's (my DGM) diamond, a third one that was my great Aunts and it has 4 emeralds in it that represent my Dads birthday.
Very nice.
It's really not my style, but she designed it using all of them and it's not as gaudy as you would think! LOL
Beautiful ring, Pixie. I love the antique ones, too. Please show a pic of your mothers ring when it's done. My engagement ring is my beloved Aunt Helens engagement ring. She loved my husband enough to entrust him with it. It's a little big for me, and I don't wear it often, as it is so precious.
Thank Jen & Polly, got antique as DH says I will now BE ONE! LOL
50 is absolutely not antique, LOL.
My brother will also turn 50 this year.
Over 20 yrs to go, people.
With people living to over 100 now, 50 is only halfway.
Thank Goodness! ^_^
Oh pretty ring. Your Mom's sounds nice too and what precious memories. Fifty is easy. I would do that one again.
This thread is getting long I will start another.

nice ring celeste - can't let me wife see that!
Tell her when she turns 50.....my b-day is not till June, but I found it so now I don't have to wait. Unless he wants to be a stinker. :(
Beautiful ring Pixi
Thanks Ge!
he b-day is next week - 50 is next year - did you have the ring sized yet? We have to bring back the ring i got here for x-mass a second time it is still too big - 6 week wait - she wants to wear it badly
No, haven't had it sized yet, don't want to wait 6 weeks either!
her's was bought at jc penny, they send it out - if it is a local jeweler i'm sure it would be days or on the spot.
Dunno how much it would cost Bill--but not much if you take it to a jeweler for resizing--anyone can do it, and less chance of the ring being lost if it is not sent out. My father was a jeweler--resized rings all the time--no problem.
Very prettiful ring Pixie. I stopped wearing my engagement/wedding rings cuz they cut my fingers when I was gardening.
oooooo the Invincibelle Hydrangea is beautious but I have the 'Pinky Winky' on my list already. How will I decide? Wait ... AHA methinks there will be some edging in my future ^_^
i know Phoebe - although i bought the service plan that includes this and if any stones are lost - plan to put the ask nicely for faster service before jumping up and down:) - although she claims her fingers were puffy the day we went in - asked her to keep that to herself
Sorry about the puffy fingers. Did you accidently drop a rock on your DW wha?
funny - she claims to much holiday feasting
That will do it.Those pepperonies and cheeses have a ton of salt.
Yupper feasting causes puffies.
I'm severely limiting my garden purchases this year. I just happen to be perusing the Fairweather cat and there are a few JMs that look intriguing. So can the JM men help me?I'm looking at Ariadne, Orangeola, Villa Taranto (although I've killed this one before) and O Kagami. Which would you suggest?
Love Orangeola. Really like Villa Taranto so far (on the cover!). Don't have O. Ariadne is nice. I would like to get it, unless I already have it! Orangeola is better for me so far than Villa.
I think it's going to be Orangeola. Can it handle full sun with dappled shade from 12 to 2?
Yes. Mine is in full sun.
Sold! thanks Victor.
You won't regret it. I gave two as gifts.
hi venu - all are good choices - i do not have ariadne although it is on the list:), and okagami which will be new this year. do you want a dissectem (weeping) or a tree? I am told the okagami is great in sun as is orangeola.
check out davidsans maples he has very large trees at reasonable prices. victor can chime in on how the compare with fairweather - from what i remember victor was very surprised at the size of the tree he got last year from DM.
Yes, David's tree was nice and big, but was a lot of money. Depends what you want to spend and how patient you are. I've never been disappointed with the value from FW.
not sure about "a lot" of money - the trees i am looking at from him this year are $65 for a two gallon or 5ft. tree - comparible pricing from greers, wildwood and others are in the $120 range.
Mine was well over $100.
must have been a 5 gallon tree
