thx - it was about 3 1/2 ft tall there - it is over seven foot tall now - it really took off last year - had to staked it up - it will need trimming after it blooms in the spring - the old third year fly rule i guess.

Beleive it or not, they are called Hibiscus Schizopetalus

I bought them too late in the season to plant out and they have been on my dining room table since October.

Great iris WC. Blues and yellows are my fav color combos and all on one flower is really nice.
Bill turns up with another temptation in the form of a weeping redbud, very nice.
JoAnn it is a good thing your bear doesn't mind the cold and snow but since you do I hope you do not get too much in the next couple of days. Stay warm.
D-nut those are very charming little croci. Makes me happy just to see them.
Okay that is the oddest looking hibiscus I have ever seen, pretty but wow, how unusual. What a nice surprise Jadajoy.

Victor that is a wonderful close up again. Love the yellow and red of the stamen in contrast to the purple flower petals.
