Countdown to spring! One garden photo per day - Part 2
ngam my favorite orange viola is 'Penny Orange' self sows and blooms all summer. Actually the entire penny series is kick butt. I luv Penny Orchid Frost alot.
YES GOOD ONE meadowyck! My birthmonth flower! I luv them!
Love the lily of the valley. I carried them in my wedding almost 52 yrs ago.
They will spread and rooth just hold on,not easy to thin out,for me.
Just a tease Pirl,we dont have budded anything until April.
Its a treat to see whats comming our way as your zone gets on with spring.
Just think, those clem buds are only 11 weeks away!
I have to get outside to cut back some clematis. They just look so ragged at this time of year. I'll check to see if any buds are visible yet.
We cross posted, Louise. Yes, I am anxious to see what's happening. Of course, I do have a giant box of dahlias to store for the winter and yet I do enjoy spring photos.

11 weeks?
Great
Wc that sand cherry is very pretty. They have great foliage too don't they?
I know the chipmunks are a nuisance at times but they are quite cute. I love to watch them zip along the stone wall out back to and from the bird feeder. We have a truce of sorts, I feed them and they leave my garden be for the most part.
Two of my fav. smelly plants, honeysuckle and lili of the valley. Love when they perfume the air around them.
Pirl's clem buds make me anxious to start that waiting and checking for progress every day in early spring. It is getting a little closer every day.
Onewish what a lovely pic of bleeding hearts. Just beautiful, so elegant a flower.
D-nut I have ordered two from Bluestone to replenish the viola population here. I hope they do as well as yours.

Beautious!
WOW Polly its a beauty
Thanks, Jo Ann. Wouldn't the three above JIs look nice together?
definatly. a great trio.
Oh sigh--sigh--sigh...overwhelming nostalgia today....
i'm comming down from a sugar high.
Thanks Victor. I wish I could keep those pretty cheddar pinks going. They just give up and croak for me. I can keep the sweet william dianthus alive but the blue foliage ones just don't like it here. Maybe I will try some maiden pinks next year. Yours is so sweet.
All of those iris are just wonderful and I agree would look really nice all together.
D-nut those little blue stars from april are just too adorable.
All these pics are really making me want to buy more plants. I need to show some restraint for sure, if it isn't already too late. :)
Lovely!!!!!
Thank you, : ) the real thing was much better than the picture. Everything was glowing red, I was trying to get pictures that showed it but I don't have a ny where near a good enough camera.
Nice---I know there will be snaps & hibiscus blooming in Fl---can't wait to see & smell them!

WC your weigela blossoms bring memories of hummers darting from one pink trumpet to the next. Can't wait for their return.
Meredith the pink sailors' delight pic is really lovely, I can only imagine how wonderful it must have been in person.
And bunches of sweet smelling grapes, won't it be fine to have them around again this spring. Thanks onewish.
Here is a brunnera 'Jack Frost' and fernleaf bleeding heart from last May.
