venice i tried, i think i messed 'em up. i put them in water and i think they're getting moldy lol i used toothpicks to hold them up. i haven't seen anything growing but white fuzzy stuff, and no they're not my fuzzy socks! lol

yup, that's what i was thinking venice! i'll probably get more of those plants in the spring, so i guess that means more tubers. or i could try cuttings, but i've neve done that before.

Lynnie, I took cuttings from my blackie sweet potato vines. About half of them have died. If the ones that are left are ok, I will be all set. I am not putting them in the ground again. They are just too darn hardy and grow too much! I though that I would stick them in a pot with other things. We will see what I have left by spring.

i had mine in pots on the front step, too, they did great out there. i had them with that basil.

Yep Lynnie ,ya got your own fuzzy sock manufacturers in your own home. End less supply...Just give some Miraclee Grow every now and then.

Lynnie, I bought one small pot in the spring. It wasn't long before I divided it into 3 plants, then put 5 plants in the garden. They grew so well they eventually were covering everything so I cut them off to about 3-4". It wasn't too long before those things were growing again. I even cut a couple pieces off and stuck them in a planter.

Yours must have looked nice with the basil.

venice i had a picture of that pot on the thread a looooong time ago...i can't reember if you could see the all the plants in the pot, it was the sweet potato vines, lime & blackie, white petunias, and the purple african basil.
