Joy, I think they are all in the Sphinx moth family, but not sure. they are quite large though and do resemble hummingbirds at dusk. Thanks, the plant is a mirabilis jalapa, commonly called 4 o'clocks as they open in the evening

Yes, they are members of the Sphinx Moth Family, Sphingidae. Also known as Sphingids. They include Hummingbird Moths, Hawk Moths, and Hornworm Moths.

Moon,that plant's very pretty,the Evening Primrose ,which I've in my garden has yellow blooms in summer ,which only open in evening,once dusk falls.

hahaha Dixie...reminds me of a time when the kids were babies and I was out shopping, and I changed one of them and continued shopping unaware I had poo poo ON MY SHIRT. That's just plain UNACCEPTABLE.

Seems to me I read that there are over 20 ice hotels across the far Northern hemisphere....just can't imagine sleeping in one....grin

Moon,I saw a documentary on TV,where a group of people had gone to Lapland to hope fully see the Northern Lights,which they did,they were staying in the Ice Hotel that's the one from your link.To sleep there they had to have about 8 or so layers of clothing,cos there's no way of heating it.They provide special bed covers to keep people warm,too,on top of all the clothes.It looked fantastic,though and there's no words to describe the northern Lights when they showed those.I've only been as far north as Malmo,Swedens 3rd largest city,and it's in S.Sweden.Was still cold in January ,was there for new year,long ago aged 19 :}

Could you imagine lying in your ice bed seeing the aurora through the walls? The chandeliers in the hotel are just exquisite...millions of tiny prisms of ice reflecting earth's most splendid light show...wow
