One year, my mail ordered present didn't come in time, so I got some socks to hold the "giftee" over:

Twas the night before Christmas
--- and all through the house,
Not a present to be found for you, except socks.

When all of a sudden it came as a shatter,
Of glass breaking on a glass roof, I was mad . . . er
'Til a note I did spy, on the roof by the hole,
So I climbed up a ladder, and retrieved the short pros.
Signed Santa it was, to the point it was brief,
"Get him Blank blank blank," and so my relief.

So this you will have, this Blank blank is your fate.
But as all good things come, you must wait wait wait.
