For some reason I was thinking you were talking about something that "I" grew this past year! LOL! Well ... DUH!!!! Go ahead and slap me with a wet noodle! Sheesh! See what a short attention span I have. LOL!

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Is it too late to ask for a chocolate??

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

You got it Charleen!

That leaves 1 chocolate and 8 purple and white left.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

well if no one else is going to ask for the last choclate, I would be honoured to grow some of those from Moretz, as well as the purple with white stripes or whichever they are,, been organizing the seed factory here.. want all the morning glory familys in one area, and just emptied our triple dresser downstairs in the back spare room to use as seed storage.

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

ok trying to get my seeds ready and be sick at same time.

i dont know what i have yet to offer as cold spell come through and seeds got zapped but have some somewhere. so we will see what i put together.

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

thank you, want me to send you an envelope??
Just let me know and I'll be glad too.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Debra - Last Chocolate goes to you! :-)

Marie - I have every confidence that you can bag and tag some seeds for this swap. (We need 18 bags of any cultivar that you send.) I thought that you had already done that a while back and just hadn't gotten them sent out to me yet. You go girl!!! I know you can do it!

Charleen - Envelope?

I received Helena's seeds yesterday. She sent a nice selection of I. nils! :-) (See first post.)

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Just put it in with the others then. I'm a old lady, I forget..
My moonvine is still growing, just not blooming.
Perhaps one day soon, before it has a birthday...☺

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

I already did, Charleen. I was scratching my head on the envie question. LOL!

No chocolates left. There are still 8 of the purple and white.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

You got it Nicole! :-)

7 purple and white left! :-)

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

I would love to try some of the purple and white ones, too.

I'm getting my seeds together today.

Ran out of baggies, trying to debate if I want to face the cold (it's up to 4º now) and run to Walmart for more. Or, I may drag out tape and paper and make up packets.

Deb

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

that's what I did at first, use paper, but yesterday Hobby Lobby had a sale 50% off those little baggies and I happened to have to go there to get canvases so I bought a bunch to stock up. Always running out. So last night, I fixed them all up in their little baggies and they are all ready to go.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Deb - I added the purple and white to your envie!

If it were me, I'd just make up your own paper seed packets! Don't go out in that cold!

Just be sure to write the name of the vine, the species (if you know it), the season & year you collected them, and your DG screen name! :-) And please send 18 packets of each cultivar. :-) I know you are ready to get it done and over with. Then you DO have to go out into the cold to send it at the post office. Be sure to use Delivery confirmation! And don't forget your return addy label and the $5 for postage return. :-)

Never hurts to put in a little reminder of everything to be sure to send me for all those who haven't sent theirs yet. :-)

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Nicole - How much did you get per packet and how much did Hobby Lobby charge at 50% off? Just curious. I get 100 baggies for .96 cents at Walmart. I am wondering if the HL sale is even cheaper!

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL! 100 bags for 1.99, so same as wallie on a regular day. Our Wallie is too crowded to run in and get one item.

One set of seeds, I got about 10-14 seeds per bag and the other one is 5 per bag. I don't remember on the later one because I did it a long time ago and they are wrapped up in paper.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

6 left of the purple and white.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

LOL! Our Wally World is ridiculous too ... but ... ours is a 24/7 store, so I shop late at night and have no crowds to deal with. The ONLY way to shop at WM. LOL! :-)

So ... one of your seed packets is a surprise? LOL!

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

It's a no id, but they are not mixed seeds. They are same seeds. Hot pink with white center. I attached a photo to my tag so you will know what it is. I had thought about putting a warning on it, because I only planted 2 vines in a container and it grew like crazy. And then in late July, it started blooming like gangbuster. I still have tons of seeds left outside but we've had so much rain that I haven't been able to harvest the rest. Now it's freezing cold. But I figured, I have enough to make my 18 packets, so I will just wait for those other seeds when there is a nice and warm, sunny day. May be the birds will eat some of them....

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

oh and I used to go to Wallies at night but we've been having some crimes in our Wallie area so I quit going.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

The crime hasn't hit here at Wally World ... yet! I don't blame you for changing your shopping habits in that case!

Y'all stay warm! I have to run out and do errands. (Tomorrow I go back to work after a nice, relaxing 2 weeks off!)

Brrrr ... I love it!!!! It FEELS like winter here! LOL!

OK what is your temp!! We have a wind chill today of 4...LOL!!! I asked my husband while we were being blown away in Sam's Club parking lot if he opened up the winter house in Florida yet!

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Cold down there too, from what I've heard.
Think it is cold everywhere. But the sun is out
and beautiful.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

Here is a picture of the noid pink I mentioned on my pergola. Wishing for warmer days. Although I don't mind the cold killing the mosquitoes.

Yes, the sun is out today. Thank goodness no rain. Sick of rain. Did I mention it was 29 degree at noon. I think we are up to 30 now. I'm staying in my jammies all day today. Kids are having soup and cracker for lunch. Don't know what I'll make for dinner but will probably have to make a grocery store run.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Nicole, are those the pinks I sent you ? If you had that good of growing I better send you some of my other ones .. love that pergola
Ronnie,Marie, I feel your pain.. cold here too..

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Nicole - LOVE your beautiful pergola and your vines looks beautiful! What an eye catcher and relaxing area that is! :-)

Ladies - It is cold here for Florida, but not cold by any of your terms. LOL! It's supposed to be freezing tonight. Been in the high 50's today. Was cloudy all day. If the sun had been out, it would've been beautiful! Spring weather for many of you, but definitely winter weather for Floridians on the southern end of the USA. In truth, it doesn't seem that cold. Of course, my family would disagree. I think it must be ... menopause. I sweat even when it's 40 outside. LOL! In fact, I go outside just to cool off. LOL! I rarely get chilled unless I'm coming down sick. I should be a polar bear ...

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

Debra, I think they were yours! I have to go back and look at the packages. I did not label mine well this year and some of the plants that came up had tags in the dirt but not match the flower photos. Also, I collected the seeds and thought, well, I'll label them later and then forgot all about them and then said, hmmm, i think these seeds came from the front arbor.

Oh, Debra, those seeds were 100% germination. I mean, I only planted 2 vines! I shared the rest with my other neighbors on the street. This was the perfect spot for them because they got mostly sun and some shade to relieve them from the afternoon heat. They were beautiful in the morning and early evening but the afternoon sun made them all wilty and scorched looking. And some of the seeds sprouted roots right there on the vine when we had so much rain!

OK. I'm going to look at seed packets to see if those pink were yours.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Nicole, I hope you are on the mg swap list. I can't wait for you to grow some more MGs. I also can't wait until Spring ... can you tell?

Yes, I am on this MG swap and the leaves look just like your photo, big! For months, they were just producing leaves, big leaves and I could not for the life of me remember which MG's I planted in that container, so it was driving me crazy! The pink no id MG flowered in cluster, of usually 2 or 3 per stem. In the back you can see that I'm also growing some other MG's, but those Japanese MG's in the back did not produce as many seeds as I expected. However, I have an arbor on the other side of the house that is in full sun and I did get alot of seed from there. I am so excited about all the new MG's I am going to grow next year. I have an idea of what I want to do. Lets see if I can carry it out.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

I saw that up in your list. Very cool, Im very excited about it. Does the setosa have prickly stems? Are they soft or hard prickly stems?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)
