that's how I drink my coffee, Joy, blonde & bitter ;)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Aw Smiley, you are such a softie....and we love you for it. smile...Did ya manage to get away early? Don't forget the car inspection...think you have some rain/snow coming your way soon...need to know you are safe....grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Moon gets a gold star ~ no leaks!

Can you come over my house and find out why the hot water is starting to run slow in the bathroom? DH doesn't like plumbing. Or electricity either.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hey Venice, wait til the foliage turns yellow as the plants are feeding until that happens. Then, cut back 4 to 6 inches above the crown (ground level).

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Got it! Thanks Moon!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Venice - if you're speaking of the irises I sent, don't cut the fronds. or I should say, I don't cut the fronds. I cut my daylilies down to about 4 inches, I don't think it matters either way with those. Don't know about asters.

Yes, I am a big softee. Tell me I'm wrong, though..

I will be leaving work early on Tuesdays & Thursdays to drive Ang to the SPCA by 3:00. Lord knows, I have the days coming. MIL (who lives 2 blocks away) totaled her car way back when, so we don't have the use of that anymore.

I went to drop off my car this AM - the guy ran out of stickers. I'll stop tomorrow. And not drive around too much in the meantime.Car is good, just a technicality.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Here's your super-dee-duper gold star, Moon!

Hey Smiley, one thing that will cause a slow down is a worn washer, another a faulty ball valve. The other is a kink in the supply tube. The washer is easy to change. Turn off the water under the sink, use a screw driver to remove the faucet handle. Lift off the handle and there is a brass(possibly chrome plated) nut around the stem the handle fits on. Using a wrench, remove that and you will see the washer and ball valve (plastic ball with a hole in the middle) put the handle over the stem and turn, if the ball doesn't rotate from open to closed, it needs to be replaced, the washer should be uniform in size and not show uneven wear...if it does, it needs to be replaced.

Here is some info for you....no offense, it is a video (grin)

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good Night Joy. It's 9:00PM there and 4:00PM here in Buffalo, not too far from Niagara Falls.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Thank you, I love gold stars...grin No way you are wrong Julie. I could not agree with you more. Oh, I meant safe from the police giving out stupid expensive tickets...you are too smart to drive an unsafe vehicle....grin (precious cargo and a good Mom)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Night Joy. Sweet Dreams.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh yeah.. Moon. NY State is so whacked out, they just raised a bunch of fees for things you have no choice about. One of them is the "administration fee" for a ticket (of any kind). Went from $30 to $85. They also want to make us all get new plates at whatever-a-pop, the congressmen are trying to fight that.

If they made NYC it's own state, we wouldn't have half the problems we do. Sales tax in our county is 8- 3/4% and we're not even the highest.

Our average per gallon of gas is $2.85.

What an idea for a thread!

Ok one more,Smiley ,that cage is for my Tortoise, his name is Theodore. He's only 3 and too young to hibernate. It's too cold for him to go outside at all now and he has a heat and UV light in his cage.We often let him be loose around the house though,as long as someone's in,as the central heating's on so it's warm.
Thank you for explaining about jello,no we don't have it here, but the drink recipe makes more sense now,I thought it would be a little unusual if it contained jelly.
Venice,glad you liked my santa,he's nearly as tall as me :}
Lynnie,we like the same coffee!!! :}
Really am going now

Best wishes to everyone

Wheres my star??? I unplugged the vacume lol Good Job Moon you deserve the glory! Hey Joy! What kind of heat source do you folks use? And Dave do you even need any? Loved the decoration even if I did have to stand on my head to see lol. Kassy send me one of Smilelys checks and I'll go shopping for you if I can keep the change grin. Venice just get wild with the weed eater and that will take care of the irises and lillys. Worked for me. Dixie I hear reindeer poop is headed your way if your not good!! Lynnie chicken nuggets do the tummy good yummmm. Oh and JOYYYYYY what do kids call their grandmothers?

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

DS has a Russian Tortoise named Jasper. He always liked turtles. One of my very favorite, no, I must say my favorite, memory of him when he was little. He called himself Mr. Turtle when he went to bed. The covers were his shell, he would have parties under there with his stuffies. He would ask me if I wanted to join him. Being Mrs. Zebra, it was tough, but I did.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Gee Smiley, you guys are on a par with us. Sales tax in our parish(county) is 8.5% and the average for a gallon of gas is about $2.70...the monkey about that is one of Exxon's largest refineries is just a few miles up the road...gas is more expensive here than places they ship it to....go figure

Last I heard, a brake tag ticket was $150, but if you got the inspection and went to the police station within 72 hours, they knocked it down to $100.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Flowers, you are a nut!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

That is pretty close, Moon. Exxon & Noco have refineries from Buffalo to Niagara Falls, along the river. When we went to where we'd take Sam (I posted a couple pictures once before) the stink passing those huge tanks would send Sam back in the car from doing the doggie thing out the window.

Let's not talk about electricity. Niagara Falls Power generates power for the east coast. It all gets shipped away. Can't figure out how that works, but that's what happens.

oooohhh... they say there's a lot of UFO activity around those power plants ooohhh...

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I'll take it Thanks buddy ole pal lol Gas here was cheapest 2.58 today and taxes up here too.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

So I guess we can call you Mrs Zebra now....oh wait, SmileyZ...grin My kids had a pair of box turtles named Merkle and Hen3ry (the 3 is silent....oldest kid is strange that way). When we first married, DH and I had a watch turtle. She would run to the screen door and climb it whenever anyone knocked....

The turtle below was trucking up the driveway the other day...put him in the box til GS got home and then released him into the garden.

Just doesn't make a lot of sense why they ship out the cheaper stuff and ours is so high....maybe it is from the UFO's filling their tanks....grin

Better yet the CEO's moon. AWWWWW love Timmy the turtle!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

That's a cute turtle! Yes, I am Mrs. Zebra. DH is Mr. Lion, DD is Mrs. Parrot (appropriately named when she was little - yak! yak! yak!)

Call me anything - just don't call me late for dinner ~ yuk! yuk!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Give that Gypsy another gold star! you are probably right Flowers...grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Jesup, GA

OHHHHH,I want a turtle! Joy if turtle ever has tiny's I want one! Whats happening everyone? Flower's I love to ride horses! Grew up with them. If you ever have a tiny, send it to me too! I'll get a horse and a turtle!! Yipeeeeee!!!!!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

LOL Flowers. You're definitely quick on the snappy comebacks!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Thanks Smiley just have to have a warped mind lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hey Dixie, the turtle would give the Poos a run for their money on the bugs and worms....how are ya this afternoon?

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Oh Hi Dixie, wasn't me talkin bout you, Moon and Smiley made me do it I swear.

Jesup, GA

OOOH,dont listen to her Smiley. I want a star too,whine,whine.....Moon,I want some of your turtles tiny's too. I'll have a turtlerama!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Hi Dixie! I'll hang around a little bit, I always miss you. How is TimmySmileyPoo?

Can you guess why I specifically wanted Timmy? Ever see South Park? (an admittedly sick cartoon) Timmy is the kid in the wheelchair, and all he can say is his name. But he conveys every feeling he has by the way he says it. That's why I love Timmy, my favorite SP character.

Wheres JJ? must ofv fell in the reindeer paint lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Dixie, if I knew where it was, I would send it to you...grin They show up around here every now and then...like the compost heap in the back...often find them burrowed in....grin

Flowers, if you can't play nice youwill have to take your blankie and go to the corner....grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Dixie, if I just handed out gold stars for no reason they wouldn't mean anything. Granted, you get an A for poo-keeping, and all the other stuff you do, but The Gold Star strikes when you're not expecting it.

Ask the girls at work, they'll tell ya.

Jesup, GA

I'm fair to partly cloudy Moon, thanks for asking. Have a bit of a sore throat. How are you dear?.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Meant to tell you all, that's where I am at work. In the corner (where no one can see me).
