24 and 1/2 SHOPPING DAYS....OH MY!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good Morning Lynnie! I have to, today's payroll day. I also have to get my car inspected, it's now out of date. I take it down the street from work.

I actually feel better this morning, it's breaking up. Slept straight through, that hasn't happened in a while. How are you feeling?

Trina, we'll be thinking of you, hope it all turns out ok.

(Zone 5b)

I feel pretty good, hit the gym this morning and I'm feelin' fine....

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Morning,

Smiley and Lynniwe glad your feeling better.

Moon that coach is something else. If I makea a chinese garden think I could get one?

Don't have to work until 11 today hope I can get something done.

Dishwasher is empty thats a start.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

This garden is so exquisite, and just a few blocks from Sydney harbour. It took DH and I almost 2 hours to walk through it. It is a series of loops and turns set in a single city block. Even though it was the end of Fall, it was awesome.

Good Morning JJ. I asked the same question of the ladies in the Tea Room...they just smiled at me and giggled, so I think that was a No....grin. How are the reindeer coming?

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Heard a cute story at the store the other day.
This little boy was acting up (he was about 4). His mom said "If you keep being bad you know what Santa will give you for Christmas".
I was waiting for the famous "coal", but instead I hear, "Reindeer poop".

I said "Reindeer poop"? thought it was coal.
His mom says "Coal costs to much we use the free stuff, if you are bad when Santa lands on the roof the reindeer poop and he brings it down the chimney and puts it in your stocking".

My how times are changing!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Fast and furious...grin..

I have one done. There are two reindeer in one.
Just can't figure why he groweled bout the Mr. and Mrs. Santa and then proceeded to make more and more things.
Think he is trying to keep me busy and out of the stores??? grin

Will take a picture after I get these guys out the door .
It's garbage day better get it out too.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I heard a similar exchange with an older child who was being rude and unpleasant...If you don't get it together, do you know what Santa will bring you? the kid shrugged and said what, coal....his mom looked him in the eye and said "Not a thing" and pushed her cart on down the aisle....at least the little one would get something....grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

If I build them she will paint....and quit shopping....that is so cute, JJ. I love to see a DH dream....lol

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Well at least he dreams big huh!!

Got to get busy will check back in a bit.

Have a great day. Looks like the sun is going to shine here.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Have a good day, JJ. Hope you have a fine sunny day.

(Zone 5b)

brrrrr! it's 28 degrees out there!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

We have rain and mid 50's today, but they are predicting our first freeze for Friday night...31, but then climbing back up into the 60's for the weekend.....roller coaster weather, and I have never liked roller coasters....grin

Delhi, LA

Good morning all. Scanned through the posts. Can't keep up any more. I was wondering Lynnie if you ever tried toe socks. Be easier to control your slide on the big floor. Got any pictures of the statue of David, anyone.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good morning Jim. Here is a link to Michaelangelo's David

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Quick break here.
Had to get these old bones off the floor (been wrapping presents).
I can find the floor and the bed in the catch all room.

Here is the reindeer,( he made two of these)

Now lets play fix Santa.

No matter where I put these arms it looks "just not right"
(no instructions, back yard sale item)
Feel free to steal picture and draw on it.

Oh and that is about as straight as he head gets, it s on a stick.
How in blazes are you suppose to put a stick into a tree at the top and make it sit on the top??

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Wow, you are halfway there on the reindeer...only 4(or2) to go....grin paint fast, the stores are still open....grin

The arms need to raised almost to the top so Santa's neck doesn't look like a giraffe...grin They should be about midway between his mouth and the end of his beard. The head looks fine...just take a bit of wire and wire the stick to the top of the tree under Santa's beard.

You are just rocking right along....I am so jealous, I still haven't gotten started....grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Thanks moon, will move them up.

I might be rocking along but the house is suffering. I can't seem to figure out how not to make a big mess when decorating or cleaning for that matter.

Need Lynnie to come get rid of my junk while I'm out shopping. lol

Seen a bit of that hoarding show last night if that don't get you motivated nothing will.
I could not imagine living in what some of them were.

Getting back at it, catch ya later

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Welcome. JJ. I am the same way. to clean one room, I seem to mess up two others....grin

I watched an episode of that hoarding show...what a nightmare. carried the trash out in the rain...grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Morning ladies, my you have been busy this morning! Moon those are great pictures, We sometimes forget how detailed the generation of artist before us were. Love It. JJ Ithink those reindeer are teriffic!!! And Santa looked happy on top of that tree. Uhmmm toe socks Lynnie now that just might give you more speed on that beautiful floor lol Girls I get a little cocky when playing but never mean to offend hope you know that, You are my Buds!! Except Dixie and she is just my punching bag LOL. Have a Good Day All

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Smilely glad your feeling better!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You? Cocky? Heaven forfend! LOL Good morning Karen. How are you today? Got the pics of your lovely family and sweet grands. Girls took after their Mom for sure...Petite beauties and a fine, handsome son. Know y'all had a great TG together.

(Zone 5b)

JJ that's what I was gonna say, move the arms up or the head down & to the side, so it looks like Santa is peeking from behind the tree.
JJ you could sell those reindeer on ebay for extra cash, they're so cute.
Flowers you now what it is, those artists took years & years on that stuff, we rush through everything. They say Rome wasn't built in a day well it would be in 2010, then fall down 50 years later.
Jim I'm a little curious why you want a picture of Michaelangelo's David *grin* you want to compare your legs to his & see whose is better?
Love those hoarding shows..put one on every time you clean, ladies! :)
oh I forgot I bought myself a little chocolate treat when I was shopping the other day....perfect for coffee break.
Hi ya Moon!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Lynnie. I was amazed that there was that much jade in the world....that coach was meant to comfortably carry two adults.
So, what treat did ya get?

(Zone 5b)

Mrs Fields peppermint chocolates.....want some? Boy these would be good in brownies.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hi Moon and Lynnie, man jade must have been abudant back then and to think of the time it took is mind boggling. David needs some clothes on lol. Wish I could send yall some of this Christmas tea, it is wonderful and just perfect for cold winter nights.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

The sun is out here, need to take movies back to library and run to post office wish I could do that in jammies.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the compliment Moon, they are my pride and joys. We did have a Grand time.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

How funny. DH brought me York's mini dark chocolate peppermint patties last night....lol I used them before to make a filling for a cake. As soon as the layers came out of the oven, I covered the top of one layer with the patties and let them soften, then gently scootched them around to fill in the gaps. Put the other layer on and frosted the cake with a dark chocolate frosting and lined the outside top edge with more patties and put shaved chocolate curls in the center...it looked really pretty and being chocolate tasted yummy.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The tea sounds great. Do you have a recipe you are willing to share? GRIN

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Yummy and gooey too!

(Zone 5b)

that cake sounds great...
I totally forgot I have a recipe for instant cappucino if anybody wants it....meant to tell Smiley while she was figuring out those baskets. it can be either decaf or regular.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

It was....grin You need to get the running done today, cuz weatherman says this rain is heading northeast. Dixie is gonna have to pull out the Poo's rain gear too. They are saying 2 to 4 inches for us and a cold front moving through Friday night with temps around 30-31 degrees....I hate cold. Must have been a lizard in my past life....

(Zone 5b)

there was ice on the roads today already, a little bit.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)
