Wow! Nice Christmas gift.
All I want for Christmas....
Yep, that's about the right price, in brand new original condition today it would be worth about $8000.00! Congrats! ☺
Wow, Sherrie, that is great, Merry Christmas to you!!!
Yay Sherrie!! Nice save, you know what they say.........
"One man's trash is another one's treasure."
I am ahead of the game this year, I started wrapping gifts already, usually I'm trying to get it all done 2 days or so before Christmas.
I am wrapping & getting a bit behind as I have to mail so much. Package for MN went out yesterday, but my brother lives in NM, his kids in TX & OR. Our own middle daughter lives in eastern WA. Never raise your kids to be independant, tough on the postal charges.
Great find Sherrie---that would put a smile on my face.
Lots of great charities out there in need this year.
Does anyone wrap the stocking stuffers?
Never.
I used to. Even the orange!
oops, busted lurking again ^_^
**sneaks back out the side door**
i wrap the ones at the top of the sock only - too much peeking going on
I wrap the coal.
Our coal for stocking comes in a little box so don't need to wrap. Sometimes something small needs to be wrapped so put it in the stocking, that is a present. Unwrapped stuffers are stuffers. I have enough to wrap so don't need to do those. Just got a DVD of Happy Potter & Half Blood Prince in the mail. That is the scond outfit (first one local) who sent us an item which was supposed to be mailed directly to a person, but sent it to us. does no one follow instructions?
Haven't done stockings in years.
No, we haven't either---only Garret had a stocking---my DH wouldn't have a clue as to what to put in---except his foot!
I wrap stocking suffers... Randy is a peeker .. have to cover everything
i still use the stocking my mother made when i was 7 or 8.
Awwww, that's so sweet Bill.
Nothing like a hubby that peeks at presents, Allison. You expect the kids to, but not the husbands/ S/Os, LOL.
How wonderful is that,. Bill!
We don't do stocking either, but that would be a good project for the winter, to make some for next year.
Nice touch, Bill. I have lots of family things from Christmas that I have kept. I still have my stuffed Frosty that my great aunt gave me when I was two. I'll take a pic later.
Just heard the song, Christmas Shoes. Too sad for Christmas.
I know...why do Christmas songs have to be so sad? The best ever was an old record Mom had...The Tijuana(sp) Brass...was so happy and up-beat!
Girl I worked with came in crying one day, I was like "what's wrong?" Oh... "They were just playing that Christmas shoes song on the radio."
I can understand that.
Been listening to traditional Christmas songs on XM. Heard a cute one by Ella Fitzgerald - Santa Claus Got Stuck in My Chimney.
I LOVE Ella!
Me too. I love many of the old singers.
i like nat king cole
this afternoon is wrapping day - hate wrapping
Me too. I'll be starting too. Love Nat!
I love wrapping.
Do you rap while you wrap?
In defense of the Christmas Shoe Song, it may be sad but it brings to light the true meaning of Christmas. The gift of LOVE, family, giving and remembering those who gave, compassion, and patience.
My favorite? 'The Little Drummer Boy'
my favorite is chestnuts roasting or what ever the name is:)
Jack Frost nipping @ your nose?
I have many favorites.
It's called 'The Christmas Song' wha, it was composed in 1946, a year after the end of WWII. Nat King Cole's rendition is the most famous.
'White Christmas' by Bing is one of my favorites, so is the 'Nutcracker Suite'.
