All I want for Christmas....
I thought it was Sherrie and Jim!
Happy anniversary, Sherrie!
Bill, I remember seeing a garden like Patti is describing, and around the outside they had large rocks with Japanese iris interplanted. It was gorgeous. I don't think it was on the net, though, I think it was in a book. I'll try to find it.
Thought both said had a Dec Anniversary?
You're right. Happy anniversary to Robin, too.
Happy Anniversary Marilyn and Sherrie!
patti thx for the link - not sure if the would fit here with all the woods and farm land around here - not to mention the neighbors cat who's life would end tragically - that much sand would be too much for it to ignore:) i am thinking of a variaton of that with a steam/pond coming down the hill to in front of the patio on the left looking out.
polly if you could find it i will look at it for ideas
Happy Anniversary to you and Doug , Robin!!!!!
I've been looking Bill. No luck yet.
Bill,
Not the one I'm looking for, but would you build this for me when you're done with yours? I love the running water along the walkway. What a great place to put my Japanese iris.

that is pretty cool polly
oooh how pretty!
I love all water features.
Thanks, folks! It will be 36 years.
PollyK, great water feature. I would have loved to have seen that before I built our endless stream.
Robindog and schickenlady. congrats on your Dec nuptials. And do post that recipe for stuffed shells. If the family wants them without gifts on Xmas, they must be divine. Patti
So sorry, Patti. I will enjoy mine so after Bill comes over and builds it.
All I have is a small, and I mean small pond, and a bunch of preformed ponds in the iris strip for my water irises. But I love the sound of water even just in the small pond.
wow 36 years - congrats robin.
polly did i sign up for something:)
Sorry, but yes, Bill. And I have over a thousand beardless irises, so you must make the waterway long.
i am expensive and eat and drink well
we have a tradition that only one present can be opened xmass eve - tonight we decided to pick the one we would give to each other - i tried to give my wife a new set of pj's and forgot which box it was in and ended up giving her a neck pillow which she has wanted for some time to replace one she has.
for me she picked out this thing that looked like a ball - some background - last summer when i started doing the cooking we started to go through onions like wild fire - every night i would look in the frig and not find the 1/2 onion left over from the previous night and cut up another - thought it was strange why she was eating onions and i did not see it - we went grocery shopping and i told here we needed onions - well we get home and look in the frig. - she had been moving the onions i was saving in a small zip lock bag into a bigger bag and "hiding" them in another drawer - there were about 6 onions there - she nearly wet her pants laughing at me - of course i accused her of hiding them on me and not my fault.
so back to xmass eve- tonight she gave me a big plastic onion that opens and you can save the unused onion in it - she thought she was pretty clever:)
Ummmm, she was. LOL
We had the same tradition Bill, when the kids were little we opened one gift on Christmas Eve. Now grown, they open all here on X-Mas Eve, then take their children home and do the tradition with them at their own house's. We are very pleased they are passing the tradition along to their kids, and hopefully they will to theirs also.
Merry Christmas!!
Hee hee - cute, Bill.
I have money, tons of food, and fridge in the garage full of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, Bill.
We each open a present Christmas eve, then the rest Christmas day. We always get too much. I think it's grounded in both our childhoods.
I got the grandkids a stomp rocket. It was so much fun. The rockets do go about 100 feet in the air, and we only have one on the roof. We all took turns jumping on it. Grandson Jamie got the highest one.
Great day!
Nice, Bill, though the guy below looks kind of demonic. ^_^
well i guess if you look quick it coold be that count dracula guy from the muppets - i think it is suppose to be a budha like figure - if it scares the chippies away all the better
