All I want for Christmas....
Looks like fun, Jen.
Thanks Jen! Great tour! I love the historical aspect.
I liked the bakery.
Wow! Nice to know how the other half lives.
Sorry, we cross posted Victor. I meant Jens estate folks :-)
I figured that!
Nice! He gets around.
Victor, your snowman looks like he's on a diet.
WC-That's cute, how Santa's on a sleigh instead of in the truck.
Nice that you can relax on the bench when it is this cold, Victor.
nice Christmas stuff guys!!!... Victor I bought that frosty over the summer... Randy already had to reinforce it ... gotta love the slopes!!!.. we have been real busy putting up our decorations... since I haven't been feeling well it has been a task getting everything out.. thank god we weren't planning on entering the contest this year.. don't even know when the judging is... but we have been slow to get our stuff out this year.. Randy built an arch that is 6 foot tall.. we loaded it up with lights... not sure how we are going to get this thing outside and installed yet.. it's pretty heavy.. but hopefully all goes well ... we made 5 sections of red & green lights.. and the whole thing is covered in white lights as well... going to sink it up with the music to "dance" back & fourth
Feel better, Allison!
Nice, Christmasy shots, Jen and Victor!
Allison - take good care and get some rest so you will bounce back by Christmas!
Hope you are better, Allison---NOT a good time of year to get sick! WC, in our town, the Sat. after Thanksgiving, Main St. is closed, all the buildings are trimmed in white lights, & Santa comes in on a horse drawn wagon----3,000 folks were here this year.
I didn't know that Robin--nice tradition
I love that kind of stuff Robin.
thanks guys... that is very cool Robin
Sounds nice Robin, I'm originally from the Bronx so the first time I've seen anything like that was here in LI. (Fort Laud & San Diego didn't have anything like it either).
If Santa did that in the Bronx they'd mug Santa and start selling horse meat! (lol!)
The Bronx has Christmas parades and celebrations every year, all over the borough with no mishaps.
When I lived in San Diego there were spectacular light events for the holidays, just no snow :-(

Never saw one Jada, guess they missed my old neighborhood, were I lived for 34yrs. ☺
Where did you live? Here is a neighborhood one done every year, small thou it is.

Eastchester ☺
Edenwald, (shown on the map), is a sub-neighborhood of Eastchester, about 1/4 mile west of my old neighborhood. I lived 2 blocks West of the Dyre ave subway station. (used to be a nice neighborhood decades ago). Moved to Fla from there, stayed 5yrs then San Diego/ Escondido and back again to NY. (job had me traveling a lot in between)
Ahh, I havent lived in NY since 1984 but I remember that neighborhood, my best friends parents got divorced and she and her mother moved up to that area. I use to have to cash in bottles to get train fare to go see her, would get off the #2 train at Dyre Avenue, if I remember correctly.
The Bronx was beautiful back then....I have very fond memories.
Do you know about this site? I check in there when I get nostalgic.

That would be the #2 train to 180th then change to the #5 if you lived south of Morris Park. ☺
Didn't know about the site, thanks!
(I know what you mean, when I lived in Fla I had a big mural of the NYC skyline in my bedroom, used to listen to the freight trains going North and imagine jumping on one in 'Huck Finn' fashion! watched the weather report in the am just to get a glimpse of the Lincoln tunnel lol!)
Very happy here in LI now, I have the nature aspect, the sea, and still can get to Lincoln Center to see the Opera at the Met, or take in a classical music concert if I want to.
The best of both worlds.
Thats right!! , the #5!!
I have the NYC subway map hanging in my den :-)
I wish I lived closer. But I do enjoy the peace and quiet here. Waterfront property is cheap on a peninsula :-)
Sounds nice, peace & quiet get to be more important as the years go on, that became my #1 criteria as well... ☺
I want 10 of these bikes. Heres the one that went off on ebay today that was given to us as it was going to the recycling center....
