MORE FOOD AND FUN WITH THE GYPSIES

Ah, that does make for a happier swim...grin

I had to replace my 20 year old truck a couple months ago, Joy. The replacement is a trade-in that is only 2 years old, but less than half the price of a new one and still has 3 years of warranty left on it. Unfortunately Husband and mechanic son chose the vehicle, so it is a huge truck...call it the BAT (Big A**Truck) grin. The idea of GS getting behind the wheel of something that big is more than a bit scary....for the rest of the driving populace...grin. A 15 YO with a couple tons at his disposal is something to give one pause....LOL

I have had a love affair with Balmoral Castle since I first saw pictures of it many moons ago. It is on my list of places I MUST see before I go....grin My maternal Grandmother's parents were from Scotland, maternal Grandfather's family from Ireland, Paternal Grandfather's family from England and American Indian. I want to see the places their ancestors walked and lived and laughed in.

Have a lovely evening, Jean/Moon

Hi everyone!!!

Everyone is getting ready
For Aunt Betty and Sue
To eat and eat
And soon to drool!

I know it doesn't make sense
But that is all I could do
If given a sixpence
And one of Dixie's poo!

Why do we always look our best when we see someone we haven't seen in years?

Ran to town just to go to Menards and walmart to grab last few thing I needed.
Not to cold so I grab an old sweatshirt instead of my coat.
Naturally then I run right smack into a guy I use to work with and haven't seen in 6 years. But HE seen me, come over to say Hi and introduce me to his wife...who thankfully wasn't all dolled up either.

Know how bad I wanted to pull that old sweatshirt off and show then I did have a nice shirt on underneath. And I haven't seen Lady Clairol in months nor did I take the time to put any mousse on my old flat hair.
I imagine I have even put on a few since the last time I seen him.

Hope you all are having much better day.
Later

Dave, now what kind of plant is that?

Hope you sick girls keep getting better. Be sure you rest when you can and got to bed on time so you don't get worn out.

I put a few things on Craigslist and I am getting a lot of spam replies. So I had to turn-in those email. Such nuisance!!! Then I also had to report a person on freecycle that probably was reselling some clothes I gave her. I will know how to do it quicker the next time. Neighbor dropped by and wanted me to sell some of his stuff on eBay like his wife did for him. She died last month from lung cancer. I just don't have room in my head for another person's stuff.

I feel like the day is half over and I haven't even started it. Gray today! Yuck!

I took a little table had on the patio and put that spiked plant on it. Kitty wanted to chew on it. At least now it is out of Kitty's reach. Everything is in such a mess, spilled pots of dirt stones and bark, moved furniture to take piano photos, had to move suff again to take Craigslist photos. I still don't know the best way to arrange these plants. I guess I just have to move everything to one side of the room to sweep and wash windows. Then when I put stuff back, maybe it will majically go in a wonderful arrangement!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, so very sorry you were so bad you had to go to the ER. Is there any way to prevent it? Just hope you are doing better.

Dave, now that you say begonia, the blossoms do look like begonias. Wow, and they grow in bunches like that! Can you take a photo of the whole plant?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, many years ago my aunt fixed this absolutely wonderful pie. Very good after a big meal I would have to look it up.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Stictocardia is a type of Morning Glory.

Is your spelling correct?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, this is the pie recipe.

Donna’s Light Creamy Christmas Pie

1/3 c. brown sugar

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dave, were the ones in a bunch growing like that or were they cut into a bunch?

(Zone 5b)

thanks Venice, that sounds yummy!
Trina my sisters suffer the same thing, it's awful! hope you're better!
Hiya Dave.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yes Dave my spelling is correct I spelled it the same way the package said...sorry had to run to the grocery store

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I planted tall zinnias seeds in the summer of 2007. I came across a seed package for Burpee Heirlooms Zinnia Cactus-Flowered Mix. The petals look they should be thin. And I only planted one type of any Zinnias and this is the only package of zinnias I have. However, my flowers don't look like that! They have broader petals.

What happened???

Am I crazy of what?

Lynnie, I have a recipe for you...Jamaican pumpkin cheese cake. The recipe has a glitch...it is 1/3 CAN evap milk and doesn't say what the yeild is... (2 large cheese cakes) (chocolate and rum)

The echo is really loud...sorry I missed you guys. Catch up to y'all later.

Moon

(Zone 5b)

just got back from karate....sorry I missed all of you!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I just got back from the stupid grocery store. Why do I do that? I know the store and it still took me forever, had to hip-check the old ladies out of the way. I get cart road rage.

Who said that??

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Lynnie....check out the recipe link above and see what ya think.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hey Smiley....know what ya mean. I hate grocery shopping. I just want to get in, get what I need and leave....grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I really don't have patience in the grocery store. I know where the dinged toothpicks are, for gosh sake.

(you can tell I'm annoyed - I'm "faux" swearing)
Oh, here comes some Van the Man, Moon. That will calm me down.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Always works for me Smiley.....grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I know you really like him, so do we. Such a pleasant talent.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

He has written the sound track for a lot of my life....grin

I guess I am what you would call hardcore...11 albums on vinyl, 28 CDs....all Van

I put that recipe in my favorites Moon! :) sounds yummy!
hi Smiley! I'm the same way in the grocery store....I have no patience. I'm sure I'll mellow with age though *grin*

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Don't get behind me then....
Sometimes I'm in there so long I think I had a blackout...

Can smell the porkchops, hope they're done I'm hungry.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I didn't mellow with age, Lynnie, but that's just me.

JJ, I'll take a lo-ong trip through the grocery store and pick up some pork chops if I can come over. Family won't eat pork chops, loin etc.. only bacon & ham. I should just buy myself one when I make chicken, but I'm so used to not buying it that I bypass it totally.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Glad you got the recipe Lynnie...did you note the additions?

I didn't mellow with age either Smiley...grin I almost need a shot of something and Van on the MP3 to get through the grocery without
thinking I might explode...lol

Sounds yummy JJ. Smiley, next time we do pork chops you are invited. We do pork chops, black-eyed peas and cornbread and call it Haute cuisine....grin You don't even have to bring your own...grin

(Zone 5b)

Moon I only scanned it & saved it, people have not stopped talking over here for hours, I swear my ears are ringing. I didn't get my quiet time and I'm getting downright cranky. I won't get any quiet again for a week! Unless I get up at 5 AM.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Smiley I would be glad to share. Always cook to many anyway.

Lynnie go hide in the bathroom take a long hot bath.

INHALE Do you smell the pumpkin and banana bread fresh out of the oven.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, I smell it!!!! Pumpkin, banana bread!

When I woke up this morning, all I could smell was garlic! Who was it that said to put garlic in my flower pots to get rid of gnats? I hope the smell will go away a little! lol

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Good I wanted to share the aroma!!!

Going to go paint on my Santa for awhile.
Will check in later

Get out the febreeze venice. LOL

(Zone 5b)

thanks JJ
Venice that's funny!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, so you want my apartment to smell like Fabreeze and garlic? I really don't notice it now since I have been smelling it all day.
