Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Those were just instructions for other people who don't know what they are doing...grin

(Zone 5b)

EXACTLY! you understand COMPLETELY.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Yeah, sadly, I do...grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I don't even think they sell TSP anymore. I know it was illegal for us to sell it at work. We could buy it and blend it (used to make soaps & detergents), but not sell it.

Ammonia is a very volatile chemical. I love simple green. There is a brand of stuff out there made by Natural Chemistry. Mostly pool stuff, but other stuff too. They also sell shampoo to get the green out of the blondies, Blondie.

(Zone 5b)

lol I was a natural blonde till 12 or so, then not blonde again till my 20's ;) now I'm brunette with blonde/red highlights *grin*
my mother probably has a stash of TSP in her cellar, which has LOTS of dark creepy corners....there's about 7 rooms down there, all scary.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I have some TSP shhh

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Vinegar and baking soda are my chemicals of choice for cleaning most things around the house.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

There is about half a box of TSP in the workroom....(shhh) grin

(Zone 5b)

LOL the chemical cops are gonna get you guys

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I think we can still buy it here, now I'll have to look when I go to Lowes.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That is where I got the box we have, but it was 8 years ago...got it to clean the oil and rust stains off the car port.

(Zone 5b)

I have no idea if we can buy it here. Bleach kills 99% of everything.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Bleach is great, but does little to remove years of oil stains from concrete.

(Zone 5b)

oil stains in the garage don't bother me. popcorn ceilings don't bother me either, I'm strange like that.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Wouldn't bother me if was a garage, but this is a breeze way and and where GS played when he was little....grin

(Zone 5b)

no, I wouldn't want the kids playing in one lol
my husband was srcubbing out an oil stain a couple of weeks ago.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Has anyone seen Flowers this afternoon? I know Dixie was having computer trouble and her granddaughter was coming for the night.

(Zone 5b)

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

You guys are too funny, JJ I knew there was some reason I liked you, think we are kin lol. Well don't use wd40 on mirrors as I was told so they wouldn't fog up. I washed that Sh Stuff off for a week lol. And JJ do be careful, I got phemonia from using bleach and amonia to clean shower not fun at all.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

It is like magic....grin ask and there she is...lol

(Zone 5b)

yup just like a flower she pops up!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Don't the call those Naked Ladies?...grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Wha I'm not naked lol

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Not when they have fuzzy socks on...

Ms Molly say rub glycerin on foggy windows fog will disappear
Spray vinegar on your car window and ice won't stick to it

(Zone 5b)

glycerin on foggy windows? make the window disappear lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I'm not rubbing nothing else on my mirrors JJ you can't make me lol

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Hey You didn't see me spray WD 40 on a mirror did you ??? LOL

What is that book called you got???

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Gardening Magic by Joey Green. Its pretty cool and a lot of fun stuff, just not sure I agree with some of it. The WD40 came from somewhere else, can't remember where right now. But it really does work on stains and burns.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I've heard of it on stains.
Just sounded to greasy to put on mirror....

But then sometimes the wierdest things work

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Thats what I thought too JJ, save yourself the hassle of getting it off, Don't Do It believe me lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

The custom of giving an apple to the teacher originated in the days when the local community paid public school teachers whatever they could afford, frequently giving the teacher food or goods in lieu of cash. footnote from me: Times haven't changed, I still give them apples lol

In 1965 V. Loveridge of Ross-o-Wye, Great Britain, grew the largest recorded apple in history, weighing three pounds, one ounce.

In 1984,J. and A. Sosnow of Tucson, Arizona, rew the largest recorded grapefruit in history, weighing 6 lbs, 8.5 ounces Now thats a big honkin grapefruit!

Delhi, LA

I use WD-40 on my head to keep it shiny. Good for old leather, don't you know.

I never worry about hair clogging the drain of my shower or lavatory.

(Zone 5b)

what are you doing Flowers editing your posts? *grin*
Jim you'd better get over to the gypsy thread, there's some sort of moral breakdown going on over there.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hey Jim was just giggling about Venice having a nyquil hangover tomorrow, those girls are nuts!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Don't use it in the summer time or your head will be on fire.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Spray some in your ears and tighten those screws that are loose too Jim LOL

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Don't mind me Jim, I get on a roll and can't quit! Night

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

He won't cut it because he says then he will go bald. Been that way since high school.
Doesn't get any longer think its gone dormant

One night years back, when I was a second shift working girl, he met me and some guys I worked with at a bar after work. Next day at work someone said something to me, kind of a fresh remark and one of the guys said; Have you ever seen her husband, he looks like grizzly adams and his hand shake about broke my hand."

Thought I would die laughing. He's getting a little soft around the middle now days
