LOL Jim, sometimes ya have to do stuff like that to bring people back down to earth. I pronounce it yours and Jo's way too.

(Zone 5b)

Moon has love bugs on her bumper?? I'm shocked SHOCKED.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Good to know Jim, I'll keep one in the car for emergencies lol

Delhi, LA

Ya'll got love bugs in NC, flowers?

Lynnie you'd have to see love bugs to understand them. They can really be something. If left on a car they will take the paint off. They must be half acid.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

We have very few here Jim, see a few now and then but nothing like yall have been describing. We are more bothered by those anoying beetles (june bugs as I call them). The crows have been crazy in my yard this year and last, must just pick their landings because never saw them in cross town home where I use to live. Think katadids are every where here, can't even hear yourself talk outside sometimes for them.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Love bugs can get so thick you need a mask to keep them out of your mouth. Another critter that serves no purpose other than to drive ya nuts.

(Zone 5b)

love bugs stink, yeah yeah
heeheehee

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

J. Geils band would love it....grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

oh will say this and have to get off here. They were doing karioke on GH today, reminded me of all of us. Night all will try to catch ya tomorrow some time.

(Zone 5b)

Delhi, LA

(Zone 5b)

Flowers it's called thread confusion, we've all been there.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Either that or POST traumatic stress...yukyukyuk....

(Zone 5b)

post traumatic thread distress....a good night's sleep cures all.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Ok, I'm rested now and know where I am and ready to play!!!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

To make potpourri, collect dried roses, juniper sprigs, tiny pinecones, strips of orange rind, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and allspice berries. Mix a few drops of rose cinnamon and balsam oils with orrisroot (available at crafts store). Add all ingredients and seal in a Ziploc Storage Bag for a few weeks to mellow, turning the bag occasionally.

(Zone 5b)

sounds yummy *grin*

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

yea if ya like pine cone breath lol

(Zone 5b)

probably better than coffee breath....are we still on topic?

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

the maintenance man in our building (back in the day) told us to put the coffee grounds down the disposal. Said it was good for it, cleaned it out.

back on topic.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Get your little hiney back to the other thread and tell me which one you are young lady LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

She's the baby one Flowers...grin

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Here ya go Lynnie, Carnations, daylilies, marigolds, nasturtiums, pansies, roses and violets are all edible flowers.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Smiley I've heard that too. Heres one for those who have apple trees: To cure fire blight on apple trees, mix equal parts Apple Cider Vinegar and water in a trigger spray bottle and mist affected leaves with the solution. Blight is acid intolerant.

After cleaning shower doors buff with lemon oil to keep water and soap from sticking

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You are supposed to clean shower doors??? wow, I am learning so much here....grin

That is really a good tip JJ....is that from the Molly book? grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Yep !! by golly Ms. Molly knows something I didn't LOL

(Zone 5b)

JJ tell us more...

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

wow JJ, I'll have to tell DG that one, he hates cleaning those shower doors.

lemon oil... like Pledge?

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Ms Molly says" If you don't put it away when your finished don't ask me where it went: it's gone" man is she mean. That is her anti-clutter rule!

If it looks like junk, fells like junk and nobody knows what to do with it its junk.
Heck thats my whole house...lol

Polish mirrors with newspaper to remove hairspray

If the bathroom is the size of JJ's do not spray clorox clean-up with bleach on everything and think you are going in there without oxygen anytime soon. LOL

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I think it means lemon oil in liquid form like Old english lemon oil you use on wood.
It doesn't really say.

To prevent hair clogs cover drain with nylon netting.

(Zone 5b)

Ms Lynn says the same thing, if you can't pick it up & put it away I guess you don't care if it goes in the trash *grin*

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

seriously, never mix ammonia with anything. ammonia should be outlawed anyways, in my opinion. but never mix it with any other chemical.

take it from someone in the chemical industry.

(Zone 5b)

shoot Smiley my mom used to mix ammonia, TSP and I think boric acid with a stick of dynamite just to dust.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Did she have any hands left??
think that would eat right through the gloves..if you had gloves.

(Zone 5b)

she was big on TSP and ammonia & water....her hands are ok, lungs, not so much. I just use bleach or Simple Green.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Ammonia is great for cutting through waxy build-up and neutralizing fire ant venom, but it says quite clearly on the bottle
DO NOT MIX....

(Zone 5b)

she says "they don't mean that." lol
