How exciting! Go for it!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

That's so great Harper!! Go for it! I often wish I had some kind of drawing talent.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sounds like a plan. Have fun with it!

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

That is wonderful Harper. How far will you have to travel to take the program? It is so good to have a goal you're working towards.

Thomaston, CT

Harper, my art teacher and another student both took that class---they both learned something new---my teacher won't paint in guache, & the other student dropped watercolors, & now draws exclusively with watercolor pencils---she's actually teaching some classes---so, that might be a nice opportunity for you---

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yes, I thought of that opportunity. This is very exciting for me! Thanks everyone!!!! Just gotta get this bursitis under control.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Where is your bursitis Harper? I had it in my right shoulder area for about three years, and went to a chiro this year, and it's gone. It's a horrible pain. Does it seem to come with the change in weather?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

It's in my right hand from my thumb, through my wrist to my elbow. Painting and drawing really irritate it. Well, so does typing. I never noticed its presence in connection with the weather, just with some of my favorite activities. The flower rendering I dmailed you is what caused my latest flare up.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Have you seen the Doctor and gotten anti inflammatories or steroids? Using ice?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Seen doctor. Told me not to use it. I got a good chuckle out of that one. No steroids. Using Ice and Advil. Also doing all the things they say in the book, "Prescription for Nutritional Healing". I'm determined to not let this beat me.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Signs of aging, Harp. ^_^

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

good luck with the classes harper and hope that bursitis goes away.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Don't you love it when the Doctors say don't use it. I can see for a short time, but who can just quit using their arm. Supposedly a course of steroids works wonders. You're not supposed to have steroids too often but if something gets really bad it might be worth a try.

Thomaston, CT

I've been in physical therapy for a few weeks with tendonitis in left thumb & wrist, plus I had to buy a brace for $60! I've noticed an improvement--I can brush my teeth & open a door without wincing, but the area is still sore to the touch---as Victor says, aging!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Thanks a lot Victor. You fill me with joy.

Marilyn, remind me to talk about your tendonitis tomorrow too!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

How EXCITING Sofonisba about your studies ^_^ I'm sooooo jealous. I would need to start with the introductory 'Illustrating Your Garden with Stick Figures' course sigh.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Ha! Me too. Paint by number for me.

South Hamilton, MA

d-nut you're in my league.

Thomaston, CT

Harper will love that course!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I will! I will!! I had the pleasure of seeing Marilyn's botanical illustrations today. They rock!!! They were truly beautiful and inspiring. I'll post a picture of what I'm working on now... my first plant drawing. I find them so difficult, which is why I want to get this certificate. It's not just one course. It's about 20 courses! Wheeeeeee!!!! I'll be done when I'm 90!

Here's a pic of a wallpaper or fabric design I did recently.

WOWSER! Are you sure you should be taking the courses rather than teaching them?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i second dnut!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice, Harp!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Awwww, sweet. Yes. I'm sure. I have such a long way to go! Here's the cyclamen drawing I'm working on.

better than i could ever do! that will be great!

i am sticking to rocks!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

This is difficult from the start, but what made it worse is my cat is eating the plant! I'm not so good that I can just imagine the parts that are missing. I sprayed it with deerfence which stunk up the whole house and the darn cat ate it anyway. I'm growing some oats for him, but they're not growing fast enough!

thanks dnut, Bill and Victor! Bill, your rocks are brilliant!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

cat has got to go:)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yeah. Well... He can really be a pain in the butt, but he's not going. I'm keeping the plant on a high shelf 'till his oats grow. After that, I'll stick to the other houseplants he doesn't touch. Funny thing is, this plant is supposed to be poisonous. Hope I can keep him away from it.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Very nice! You got talent! Ever draw any African violets?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

No. I've never grown them either. I think my place is too hot and dry. I forget to water for a month... or two... cacti and succulents typically last here. Not much else. The cyclamen was a gift. I was hoping to draw it before I killed it. Looks like the cat is helping kill it.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Phoebes you're so funny ^_^

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

So are you! Oops...think I just poked my eye out!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

OMG Phoebes don't tell Moo. She will say 'I told you so'. Luv Moo. 82 and still having way too much fun.
