Lowe's, Home Depot, or other hardware supply store carry Halogen work lights for around $20. ( I've seen them, two lights on a stand, at Home Depot.)
Halogen lights make good grow lights, as their spectrum is similar to sunlight.

How is everything there? I hear that hurricane Ida did some damage to the Atlantic coast. Several people lost their lives.

Yes Ida was a bad storm. We are about 40 miles from the coast. We got a lot of rain and wind for a few days. Counting our blessings. Was nothing compaired to what others went through. For the past 3 days we have had beautiful weather. Hope it sticks for a while. I would rather be out than in any time if the weathers nice. Hope your weather clears up soon. I know you do too. Not fun being couped up for to long.

I know that feeling. There is only so much you can do while trapped inside. Reading,t.v.,house work.It all gets old fast. Give me freash air and sunshine! Then I'm happy. I'm out a lot when I'm chatting with yall.

Dave, I took a quick look to see what Lowe's had in halogen work lights. The ones on a stand start at around $30. Reviews of it said that the bulb burns out after 5-6 hours. But I will look and see what other stores have. Thanks for the info.

I found something on Craigslist that would be a cool gift for my granddaughter. She doesn't garden yet. But I think this may spark some interest when I send some seeds with it. She lives in Columbia SC so I will have to find out what grows best down there.

This person lives about 40 minutes from where I live. But she comes by my way on some Saturdays to visit her mother. So she volunteered to meet me! What luck!

I bought some for 15 cents a bag about three years ago in the summer months and still have a couple of bags for porch and steps Cool I'll get to use it!

Hi all. Great idea for G.daughter V. It may open a whole new world for her. Flower's all of the Poo's have names. I just say Poo's when I'm talking instead of going down the list.
