Dorthea last Flush

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

No Dear, but we haven't had any frost yet. But your plants look good. We could be contestants
in a box filling. I hope you got a plastic in that one. They look great. Elizabeth is talking us into using old aquariums.
It is pretty in you pic. to.
Yes, we had plenty of Cake and the little girl loved her cake I gave her $$$ to buy her own presents.
We both enjoyed it DH took pic.

Elizabeth

Charlene

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

If you want a piece ,let me know I have four. Dee gets one and you can have one if you want.
That thing was beautiful. This is one of Mr.Georges.
It is a pretty yard, Debra.

Elizabeth , Skilar , the b'day girl is the one holding the hotdog, looking at Buddy their dog.
The little girl over on the left is her sister.
That is what she wanted was to toast hotdogs.

Elizabeth

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

awww that looks like fun! ;D
yes that is one part of the back yard up there.. I have laot of boxes, baskets and containers filled with brugs all over the place.. all stages. LOL last year I only had one NOID..

Hamilton, OH

Debra
it's amazing, in 2001, I only had 3Brugs, now I have a lot of Brugs & a lot of crosses grown out from seed, they can really add up but we love them
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

It seems like they just jump out of the woodwork.
but they sure are pretty. People all over the world
growing these things.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
my collection really started in 2007, I saw all the beauty's on ebay, I wrote a list, now I have all that I wrote down plus
this year I have added the Sanguinea's now next year I might have a problem, I actually might be out of room
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I could do like Mr. George and plant them on the outskirts of the property.
I don't even like that idea, but i could do it. got enought property I could
plant a lot of Brugs, just wouldn't want to dig them all up. Take too long.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
when you see a 6-7 ft tree with a full flush it's easy to think about digging it up, they don't have a tap root, like a tree
& that makes it easier to dig up
Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

But 9 acres, Elizabeth???

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
that's got to be great to live on 9 acres, I would roto till up just a Brug bed, dig trenches plant them & watch them grow
with the free fertilzier, I would be in Brug heaven

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I might have to do that with all these stubs I have planted.
Going to be busy next spring.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
next spring you'll get those all planted, & they will grow to 6-7 by the time fall rolls around, I can just see all the trading you will do, I ordered Equador pink from a nusery, it got here in a 3in pot it grew to 7ft the first year, it was 6ft this summer when I sold it, the trunk was 4in in diameter, I dug it up, helped them load it in their van it wah hanging out of the back, that's just how fast they grow
Elizabeth

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, why would you want to dig them up. You are in zone 8b and almost all Brugs will come back from that zone. I am zone 8 and loose very few. Naughty Nick is one that grows like crazy but does not always come back and when it does it grows real slow. I even have most come back when they are in 1gal. pots. We only have 1 acre inside the yard but by next year we will be moving into the horse pasture. Not all Brugs though, I need room for my Gingers, EE, Bananas and Plumerias. In 2005 we had over 100 Brugs and were down to about 40 this year. Next year we will be back over 70 with all the new ones I am getting. I was a member of several Brug org. but after all the ugly things that happened I lost my love of Brugs and some of the people who grew them. I am only growing them for fun now.

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Morning everyone..look at all those beautiful cuttings.
Debra, your yard looks so much like my yard, before we put in the new bed last year..same chain link fence, same patio/parking pad, and I even have the same large white pot..lol. I would have sworn that that was my yard!
Your Clivia is sooo pretty, Elizabeth.
Yeah, Charleen, you could have a brug farm, lucky you...right weather, free fertilizer and lots of room. You could start selling cuttings yourself!
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Ken, I believe I was just talking about digging them up (Idon't know why I was just talking) sometimes I just rattle. I am going to be getting some Gingers from one of the girls, will be my first time for them. Lots of first times this year ^_^ I'm enjoying my retirement with the help of my friends at DG. Aren't we getting plants?, Dee and Elizabeth. I hope my Clivia blooms it is looking good. the little Brugs don't look like they even wilted, I sprayed them with the Recipe after I potted them up.
Dee, did you see the plants Elizabeth sent me? They have leaves.
Good Morning to all.
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Charleen, you are so lucky to have that climate to grow plants in...I love tropicals..sure wish they were hardy here.

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Mornin Debra! The grandkids just left. Thought they were gonna be here longer, but there other grandma invited them all over for Sunday dinner. They are gonna get their fill of grandmas this week-end, for sure..lol
Mmmmm, bacon, I love it! Fixed the kids French toast and sausage. As, their mom says thats what they ordered. She says that when they are around me , that it's like I'm running a restraunt...lol She says that I need to what I want and if they are hungry, they will eat it...but I'm weak when it comes to the grandkids..lol
I have never had anthuuriums . In fact, right now, I couldn't even tell you what they look like, but I know that I have seen them. Will have to look them up.
Dee

Charlene
